Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Bumgarner v Syndergaard as the Tuesday Night Mets Club takes it in from Section 409. Fun Fact: Mets are 9-2 on Tuesdays this year and have won 6 Tuesdays in a row.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 The Mets have played simply awful baseball lately, and yet they're only 4 1/2 games out of first. The slightest glimmer of competence and they could be contending. So I expect they'll tank it against the Giants and Rockies, because that's how they roll.

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 For my next thread: Why is J.D. Davis batting cleanup?
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Author Posted June 4, 2019 I thought it was gonna be Cano coming back and McNeil still on the way, not that I'm complaining
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 McNelt isn't the only one being activated.

Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 hopefully McNeil picks up where he left off.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Our contact with runners on are going at 'em while their hits with runners on are going 'tween 'em.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 We are apparently very hard on home place umpires.

Guest 41Forever Guests Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 He's six behind Darryl's rookie record!
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Ramos-KABOOM -- and with a man on! Mets go up on MadBum.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Not quite sure why a pitching change needed to be made NOW!!!!Did anyone see when Nats mgr Davey Martinez came out to (presumably) remove Scherzer in the middle of an inning and Scherzer started screaming NO!!!! as soon as he stepped out of the dugout?Impossible to know whether Martinez intended to remove him or not, but Scherzer wound up staying in the game.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I think I read Noah's lips saying to Alonso, "this mother fucker Mickey has to go"
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 And, the bullpen allows the tying run to score.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Nobody can resist the regression. Starting pitching becomes less of a thing every year. Certainly Mickey can't resist it. It's heartbreaking to me.Meanwhile, did it look like San Francisco was going to challenge that call as we went to the commercial?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 It helps that the baserunner missed the plate by two feet.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 btw, Not that it was a slam dunk, but I thought Alonso had time to go for the 3-3-6 DP rather than opt for the safer force.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I think I read Noah's lips saying to Alonso, "this mother fucker Mickey has to go"Also something about trouble with the fusillade, Frederick.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Mickey and Gsellman should be anywhere else by 7:10 tomorrow.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Author Posted June 4, 2019 Not hitting pitching or fielding well. Or managing.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Do these fuckers EVER hit a ball AT anyone?!?!!?RiSP: SFG = 6/13; NYM = 0/5
