Guest 41Forever Guests Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Tigers are in an absolute free fall, losing eight in a row. Yesterday's debacle -- against our friends the Marlins -- came within an out of a 2-0 victory But then the Marlins scored five runs, four of them courtesy a Garret Cooper grand slam. The danger here is the Tigers are due for a win, and the Mets, having won four in a row, are due for a loss. Let's hope we can keep both streaks going.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 I was playing around with the B-R Play Index free mode earlier this week, trying to figure out if the Mets do, in fact, make starting pitchers in the first few games of their career look good.I did this search:From 2010 to 2019, Against NYM, as Starter, In first 10 games, (requiring game_score>=70)and got 14 games.I was pretty sure we were the worst by a lot, but the Phillies and Royals had 14 also, and there a few teams who had 10-11.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Didn't I do a similar query recently and found nothing? I was looking mostly at ERA and if we won though.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Tigers coming in to this series in as big a freefall as the Marlins were before last week's series. Let's try and avoid repeating last weekend.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Good thing we're at home here cuz this is looking like one of those 'last team to score wins' games.
