Jake Arrieta called out Bryce Harper for being a dope in getting ejected Monday night. Will Harper process the constructive criticism and channel his aggression toward Zack Wheeler? Or will the heretofore golden boy of Philadelphia implode like a Washington National in October?

Tune in at 7:10 to find out. Our Zack will go up against their Zach, who obviously isn't blessed with spelling and stuff.

First meeting of the Tuesday Night Mets Club!

We'll be glamming it up more than usual in section 326.

Mets are averaging 11 runs allowed on Tuesdays so far (6-5 win @Miami; 14-8 loss vs. MIN; 14-3 loss @ PHL) so we're you know, hoping for an improvement.

Harper's continuing his commitment to his heel role in a new uniform is admirable. It's like he's constantly setting himself up to become the redemption story that never gets past the second act.

He's like a walking episode of VH-1's Behind the Music.

That error by Hernandez was a Little League-quality muff.

It's pretty great, Met-wise, when Arrieta calls out Harper and the team comes out and makes two infield errors the next day. I can only speculate as to whether there's a cause-effect relationship, but I can see a scenario where everybody in the clubhouse has to decide if they're on Team Jake or Team Bryce and they come out tight the next day.

I like stress-free games. We get them so infrequently.

There's actually been the potential this year for several comfortable games, but in those instances the pen has given up a bunch of garbage runs that then forced Mickey to get the important parts of the pen warming up.

Be nice to avoid that with just two frames to go.

This has also been the rare game that's actually moved quicker as it went on.

mlb.com is crediting Wheeler with being this season's first 100/100 player: first to throw a pitch over 100 mph and also hit a pitch over 100 mph in the same game

So, with one game left in the series, and a chance to sweep, the Mets have Philly working against themselves, and Rhame attempts to make the last out by playing dodgeball with Hoskins.

Nothing like putting their best hitter at risk to get all the Phils rowing together again. The Mets might want to sit Alfonso tomorrow.

Tuesday Night Met Club was stunned at its good fortune to be there. It didn't even get cold out there.

Did Bernie Sanders show?
