A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 The perspective on the Harrelson cover looks kinda cool, but the shoulder is in the way of what looks like a decent shot.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 These are all pretty terrible. Keith by default.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Still, there's a lot more narrative there — and important historical narrative — then you'll ever get out of Keith's goofy yacht club outfit.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Harrelson knocks down Rose, knocks off competition.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Went with Bud, but only by a 'stache hair.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 I will say that's a pretty eighties lineup Keith Hernandez is anchoring there: Joe Klein, Ward Just and Kenneth Turan.

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 "Maturity at Last?" Jeez, Tug looks like a toothless old geezer on that cover. Hey --wasn't that a question better suited for the Mets?

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Looked like Harrelson was about to drop a baseball on Rose's crotch. In retrospect, he should have. But Keith is just so flamboyantly.......Keith.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 I think that was short, surly, clean-shaven Joe Morgan, breaking for first in a futile effort to beat the double-play.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Pennant pressure takes its toll on all of us.
dgwphotography Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 My best guess is that the Harrelson cover was shot during the top of the ninth inning on August 22. That's Bobby Tolan running to first, and Rose was just out, scored 5-6 in the scorebook. This isn't the only time that Rose was out on an FC at second in that series, but it is the only time that there was a runner ahead of him at third base, which explains Buddy's looking toward third. Here's the box score: https://www.leaptoad.com/mets/gamedetail.php?gameno=1429&tabno=Dhttps://www.leaptoad.com/mets/gamedetail.php?gameno=1429&tabno=D
