Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Matz faces the Cardinals
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Nice thread title.Matz got in trouble to start each of the first two innings, but pitched his way out of it both times.Mets up 1-0 on hustle by Conforto.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 here in the second Conforto doubles and Alonso singles and Smith singles, and Rosie goes KaBL☆MMO! and its 4-0
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 M☆NEIL homas, Cano dubbles to start the 3rd.Now comes 30-40-20
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 McNeil, looking good in his low-numbered jersey, clubs a no-doubter. Five-zip.Canó follows with a double and LET'S HAVE A ROUT!
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 old bald texting dork in a MFY tshirt in the front row.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 plenty of asskicking going on as Darnaud crushes one and its 8-0

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 9-1 is your final score! Edwin Diaz gave up a solo homer. Might have been 11-1 but for Tebow getting thrown out at home and later, Tebow not scoring on a hit from 2nd.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 It tells you how hard baseball is that, by football standards, Tebow has an impressive range of skills, but by baseball standards, he's got like 1 1/2 tools.

It cuts both ways. But tell me about that Keith jersey with the script that couple was wearing. What year jerseys were they? The 93-94 roads? That's a jersey you rarely see fans wear. I'm drawing a blank as to any other NY script road jersey that Keith never played in.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 It turned out to be only one guy that kept switching seats. Also, I think it may be that one-season 1987 script that I tend to forget, so I'm wrong.https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2019/03/screen-shot-2019-03-10-at-4.45.58-pm.png>
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Watching the replay. There's some hitters in this lineup. I am optimistic for 2019.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2019 Author Posted March 11, 2019 I beleive he had a single and a walk. He was on third when the SS mistimed a bouncing ball, allowing the batter to reach easily on an error but he was a dead duck trying to score from 3rd.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Loved how Keith described it as a 3rd and 1 play.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 It was a legit single and a legit walk. He's clearly worked hard and looks like he knows what he's doing up there. But the bat speed isn't enough to turn his muscle into consistent homerun power, unless he maybe becomes a guess hitter. And as noted, the instincts aren't sharp on defense and on the bases. There's certainly room for hope and reason to keep an eye on him. Time is a cruel enemy, but he's already come far, despite the injury.
