Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Jonathan Holder. Was destined to be a middle reliever.

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Who is the commentator frothing at the mouth waiting for Judgeto hit a homer? K'd, see ya...
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Well, if I can't watch the Mets in the postseason, watching the Yankees get the everlovin' shit beat out of them at the Stadium will just have to do.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 If Angel Hernandez is nothing else, he's consistent(ly bad):https://sports.yahoo.com/umpire-angel-hernandez-gets-roasted-twitter-three-calls-overturned-022438086.htmlAnd he'll be calling balls and strikes in Game 4!Later
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 OMG. That was so much fun. My wife got home from her work event last night and found me beaming at the 11-1 score. She was like "Let's watch John Oliver". It was in the 8th inning, and I really wanted to see the last out, so I said, sure. Recorded the rest of the game. Anyway, watched John Oliver, got all upset about Kavanaugh again, but then turned the game back on. It was still on! 16-1. Beautiful.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 I'm curious to see what impact this game has on Angel Hernandez' career. Pedro Martinez threw him under the subway train after the game.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 it's probably not going to help his, probably valid, suit.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 How can getting three first base calls overturned in a widely watched post-season game help his suit?
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 I would imagine it's quite the opposite.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Dear Santa,I know it's early, but for xmas can I please have another good-ol'-drubbingof the Yankees tonight at The Bronx Armory. I promise to eat my broccoli,do my homework and not to pick on Amanda the Panda no more in class.Signed,KC
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2018 Author Posted October 9, 2018 That Sabathia generates a lot of grounders, Neil Walker will get tonight's start over the atrocious-fielding Miguel Andujar. Also Gardner and Aaron Hicks are in LF & CF, McCutcheon to the bench. It can't be too much to ask that Rick Porcello out-pitches CC, can it?And poor Brock Holt, hits for a cycle one day and is benched the next (he usually sits vs LHPs)
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Remember earlier this season when some media and Yankee fans thought Severino was the best pitcher in New York? Yeah that was cute.

Yeah that was cute.I like to think it was our 2-0 win on the June 10th nationally televised Sunday night game over the then 9-1 Severino that started his decline. It doesn't quite line up that way as he had a couple good games under his belt after that, but I'm claiming it as the turning point anywayERA by month: 2.61, 2.03, 1.60, 6.58, 4.86, 3.98BA-Against: .176, .215, .211, .324, .274, .250
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Kinsler misses a first inning grand slam by about a foot and the Sox let CC off the hook with no runs scored
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 This shit-hole gives the cheap RF homer and it takes the cheapo homer.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Fucking Angel just missed two strikes.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Even WITH the Angel calls, they're doing nothing.Agent Porcello is TCoB.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Ugly inning. Need a shutdown inning here. Momentum starting to shift.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Momentum is an illusion. They play in a mall with no mojo.Surprised Cora went with middle relief from THIS pen over leaving Porcello in for third-time-it is?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 I was scared too but that was some hot middle relief. Earned a few Schaefer points for me.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Hell, I'd leave Barnes in for another frame, until they get a runner to second.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Dangerous letting them hang around.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Why would you pull Barnes?

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 This Sawx pen reminds me of ours. Every inning feels like a coin flip between striking out the side and loading the r bases with none out.God, how good is Betts?
