The Mets try and stave off sweepage in a Sunday afternoon intracity matchup, sending Seth Lugo to the bump against Luis Severino.

Severino has had himself a season, checking in at 9-1. Lugo, though, holds the lower ERA, 2.04 to 2.20.

It's Sunday, so the lineup may be a little funky.

Isn't it the Sunday night game?
Or did the network switch it for something more competitive?
Later

According to the comments on this video Gene was so determined to make this recording Beatlesque he contacted Paul McCartney to do backing vocals and when he declined he hired the cast of Beatlemania whom you hear.

TANNER: Should you be driving, Buttercrud? You've had like 7 beers already.
ENGLEBERG: Well I've had half of most of them. I have to pee! Can we pull over?
TANNER: Buttercrud? Buttercrud!!!
BUTTERMAKER: Yeah, yeah, bad news for the... *belch*

Love that song. The band performed it on the Unplugged CD, too! The Beatlemania guys play on another cut as well. Gene’s solo album has all kinds of guests on it. He got a little carried away.

Dang can we just get back the normal 8-9/ SS-P batting lineup? How embarrassing is this?

Pregame show already has Gleyber Torrez going to the Hall of Fame. This is going to be a tough slog of a broadcast.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am fairly sure this is the first Mets game I have been able to watch this season. I am amazed that somehow MLB or the Mets have not come up with some reason that central Pennsylvania is off limits. Now if only the Mets would put on a show.

About to make a grilled cheese sammich and canned soup for supper. If the Mets win that will be my dinner for as long as it takes.

And chocolate milk if I can find some quick in the cupboard

Mickey, for Pete's sake, forget your artificial pitch limit on Lugo and get as much as you can out of him.

After Logo fanned the fifth, ESPN booth has to acknowledge that he's having a good game.

I have the sound off, it's either that or watch on Deportes.

And Druby, please don't be hurt for any length of time, aside from right now.

Lugo's looking good.

I thought Bruce might have had one there.
