Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 It's great to see Nimmo and Rosario in the middle of everything tonight. That triple by Rosario earlier was the first time I saw him running 100% out of the box like that. Wow.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Suzuki seems to give his pitcher a target outside the strike zone on every pitch.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 I like Gsellman in the 9th. And BOOOOOOKS
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 So for all the crying and rending of clothing over the last week, we went into the homes of two different 1st place clubs for 4 game series and wound up 3-5, the frustrating part is that it could have been lot better seeing as how 3 of the 5 losses were via walk-offs and that the margins in those losses were 1, 1, 1, 1, oh yeah, and 12And then there's also the minor problem of the 17 new and different injuries plus the house catching on fire while we were away, but there's nothing to be done with those things except to deal with them as they come up and move on.Game tomorrow.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Yeah, they were ahead in seven of eight. And they're still within spitting distance. Nothing that can't be righted. Not sure I particularly follow Callaway's mindset at all, but there's nothing that can't be righted. And this road trip can be remembered as (among other things) the period when Brandon Nimmo made it clear that he was for real.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Was out last night, but was legitimately shocked when I saw the score update. For those that watched, was there anything noticeably different about Vargas?I can't imagine the pitcher I've watched pitching 5 scoreless against that lineup.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 That was good advice. I was leaning toward sending him to Peru.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 I know it has been said many times but I am really liking Nimmo, easy to root for and really cool to watch his progression into this.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Tim Britton with a gem about a gem. The Athletic requires $ but it's worth it. The rest of the Mets beat writers can go home.https://theathletic.com/374742?shared_by=133087
