I enjoyed the spark he provided when he first came up in 1985, but it didn't take long before it became apparent that he was a jerk. Of course I rooted for him, we were trying to win a World Series, after all, but I never liked him. There were a lot of people who liked him because he was a jerk. I can guess who they voted for in 2016.

I liked him a lot as a kid. Didn't realize he was a jerk until well afterwards.
