However, when the conversation turns to caffeine or Pop Tarts...

Come visit Grand Rapids and I can take you to the magical factory where Pop-Tarts were invented and are still baked.

when minimm first started playing baseball in the backyard, he threw knuckleballs as matt harvey. and batted as [crossout:j6q5k5wn]ike[/crossout:j6q5k5wn]matt davis.

ok, so he wasn't so good at choosing heroes (and getting names right) but he was three, and it was totes adorbs.

he's still a rabid mets fan, now batting as michael conforto. wait, should i be worried about conforto...?

Yes (a friend says).

It works pretty quickly, depending on potency... like, 5-15 minutes.

I hear.

I visit the CPF several times a day (before and after work) and have been looking at this since it was posted.
I really have no specific memories of Matt Harvey. If I had any, they seem to have been erased from my memory.
The good is gone with the bad.
Maybe I've gotten too blase about the players.
Maybe I was turned off by the press likening him to a comic book hero I never really liked.
Maybe it was the success, then the fall.
But even with his success, I never really warmed up to him as a Met, like I have with other players over the years.
Those were guys who had to work hard for what they got, and didn't waste the bounty they were given at birth.

The other day a work, the YLDB next to me asked how I felt about the Harvey trade.
I had nothing to say.
I didn't care.
