That was quick, G-F!

The Reds are 8 and 26 (same as the Orioles) with an MLB-worst .235 winning percentage, putting them on a pace to go 38 and 124 on the season.

If the Mets don't get right over these three games, it will be especially pathetic.

And they've been carrying Homer Bailey and his unfathomably huge contract for about four seasons now.

Get straight, Mets.

Cespedes's leg has been hurting him. He said he felt pain Saturday and had to be removed from the game Sunday. It's the same quad injury that has plagued him in the past. The one where he came back too early causing him to suffer a much more serious injury.

The Mets have struggled to find at-bats from Brandon Nimmo, their best offensive player not named Cabrera.

So naturally, Ces is back in the lineup tonight.

Conforto BOOM!

The Cincinnati Slumpbusters might be exactly what this team needs!

An early hook for Conlon, or was he starting to get battered?

He was getting hit.

Homer Bailey, man. He's good for what ails ye'.

Just a reminder of his contract:

2014: $9 million
2015: $10 million
2016: $18 million
2017: $19 million
2018: $21 million
2019: $23 million
2020: $25 million mutual option ($5M buyout)

That would be my first and only guess. Might be a trick question.

The problem with Homer Bailey who, along with Phillip Hughes of the Yanx, were 1A & 1B top pitching prospects in all of baseball one year, was that he tore his UCL right after signing that big deal.
He may even have torn it in the act of signing the contract although my facts might be a little off there.

My mother took to watching some occasional golf on TV in the final years of her life and became a bit of a Rory McIlroy fan on account of his Belfast-area accent. One set of her grandparents
emigrated from Belfast as adults (1905) and so kept their accents their entire lives and it was the one British Isles accent she could pinpoint even a half century after both were gone.

I checked the Manager-of-the-Year thing and ... we're all wrong.

I don't recall this guy managing the Reds.

Get Sewald out of there. His pitches have no action.

Rosario really needs to learn the strike zone and be more disciplined at the plate. It seems that half the pitches he swings at aren't in the strike zone.
