Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Friggin awesome. Missed nearly all of today's Mets game as we're on vacation in FL, so, I am having a glass of vino and enjoying some Barto tonight.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 My enthusiasm for this waned when I turned it on and remembered I would need to listen to Arod.Oh well, lets go Bartolo!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 SEVEN (on about 80 pitches)Wonder if his manager will pull him? After all, you don't want to push him and possibly shorten his career!

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Dang, a walk and a clean double down the line to start the 8th.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 7 perfect innings. Against possibly the best team in baseball, the Astros. On national TV.Give it up for Bartolo.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 The D-Backs' Deven Marrero also gave us a Tim McCarver specialty yesterday, losing a homer after passing a teammate on the bases.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 And just to show what good pitching can do:- Rangers 3 - Astros 1 4 runs total on 8 combined hits over 10 full innings in a nationally televised game (ie. longer commercials): Game time = 3:06- Mets 3 - Brewers 2 5 total runs on 11 hits across 9 not quite full innings (due to the 2-out walk-off): Game time = 3:28Bart threw 96 pitches over 7.2 innings, Verlander 100 over 8 fullContrast to Chacin's 85 over just 4 innings (plus he was slow as shit anyway) and Syndergaard's 101 over 5.1
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
