Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 That's a must buy. What a brilliant idea! JoeDaMan!
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2018 Author Posted April 6, 2018 Ordered a 2nd one for Fboy this morning; when I showed him the design he was all in. The company was nice enough to not charge me for a second shipping fee.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 I ordered one, it can be our unofficial forum tee.Does Joe post here?
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 I like the concept, the idea of the shirt design; the execution, not so much. I don't think that Mr. Met looks enough like Mr. Met, to my liking. Of course, that's the designer's catch-22. The more the batter resembles Mr. Met, the likelier it is that the Mets will be able to claim copyright and trademark infringements.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Yeah, my first thought was whether the team (for Mr. Met) or MLB (for the design copy) would ponder go to the lawyers first. If they're smart, neither will.I know the NFL would pounce in a similar situation. Even Francesa, who could shill for the NFL as much as anyone, used to (only slightly) joke that the NFL was so protective of their copyrights that they'd havetheir legal eagles bust into some 3rd grade classroom with papers (and perhaps guns) drawn to serve on some kid who they heard kid was scribbling helmet logos on his notebook cover.

And he thought it was great.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Mine should arrive tomorrow. Kinda stoked.JoePs work also reminded me of this thing I did for Wright back in '15.I can use this again! Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Shirt arrived. [list:12jkys3d]-Sizing is good, ordered a 2XL because I like loose clothing and it's perfect.-The orange could be more orange, doesn't match the online picture at all.-It smells. Bad. Needs a good washing[/list:u:12jkys3d]
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 What...... does it smell like?
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Like nothing I've ever smelled before. Bad. Must be the ink.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Oh. I was thinking you got a used sweaty shirt.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Ugh. I just ordered mine. Hopefully that's not still an issue.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 I got mine, slept in it after a long night of drinking, and then returned it. It was a 2XL.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Haha, one couldn't wear it for 2 months and leave the stank on it likethe stank it has on it.
dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Mine just got here. It doesn’t smell bad, just a bit rubbery. And the orange is pretty orange. The size seems accurate. I ordered the deluxe or premium or whatever they call it, because it’s supposed to be made of nice thick cotton. But it’s the same thin stretchy clingy stuff that passes for cotton everywhere these days. (That’s one of my old man rants; I’m pretty sure the cotton consortium is conspiring with the polyester interests to label cotton-polyester as 100% cotton. You can write to your congressman, but he’s probably been paid off.) So I’m reasonably satisfied.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Got mine just in time for my birthday. WooHoo!!Don't smell at all. Did have to be flattened a little cause it was "rubbery" with some folds in Mr. Met. Looks great, fits great. Very happy with it.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 I demand a full investigation into why I got a stinky tee!
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2018 Author Posted April 19, 2018 Mine just smell like shirts.
