Then why does he? He's a cun........dickhead.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Excellent quiz-- thanks for posting/sharing.Statues: I'll go with Carl Pohlad for the Twins.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 BTW, Braves have announced Tim Hudson and announcer Joe Simpson will be inducted into their HOF this season.

Did not research the date on that, but I’d imagine his statue was installed sometime when Target Field opened.

I think the rational was that he “made it cool to come to the Nats” or something like that. The other one is a bit more egregious!Oh my, did they do Raines, too? They put Carter and Dawson in their Ring of Honor back in 2010 (Carter attended the ceremony)

Probably to entice him to advise Cooperstown that he'd like to don an Angel cap on his plaque over an Expo one. Though I'd imagine the Nats would still add him to the Ring of Honor anyway! Even though he spent all 8 seasons with that franchise in Montreal!

Guest 41Forever Guests Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 The Reds statue is Pete Rose. We were there for a game in May, and the base was already in place. They had models of the statue in the museum, of Pete diving head first. Kind of a cool statue in terms of physics.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 I really should know the Indians answers, given that I live about five minutes from the statues. But I've been ignoring Cleveland news lately, and I haven't been to the ballpark except for quick drivebys.I'll guess Bill Veeck for the nonplayer statue.

I doubt the Reds will remove the statue, him from their Hall or unretire his #14 though.
