    P!ease!!! We deserve good things.

    Almost every move he's made at this point looks bad. The problem last year essentially was not run defense. It was pitching. We had one of the best run offenses. So he got rid of Nimmo, Alonzo and McNeil niether, in my opinion were the problem. Now we can't score and our defense is not better and probably worse. Pitching has been good enough to where if we still had the departed players he jettisoned we would likely not be where we are now.

    I'm there but agree that if he goes it probably should be after season.

    Don't want to hear "we waited ages to get him". So what? Also this team is worse since Mr. Genuis took over not better. Fire them all after this season or now if there are better options available. Stearns let his arrogance get us where we are.

    Wrong. I do. Admit I have been known for being sarcastic at times. Without being sarcastic I hope Cohen realizes this guy is not that smart and doesn't think the manager is the basic problem but Stearns is and if you're thinking thinking of firing anyone Stearns needs to go in whatever changes are made.

    Now that's great defense. Now remind me who are third basemen is?

    What a roster Boy Genius has constructed. Oh, but a new manager would help this?

    But boy Genuis said it was our defense. Boy Genius took a very good offense and dismantled it and left us no real improvement defensively and less offense. The problem was least of all our offense and not our defense but our pitching. Even us fans below our Boy Genius know that.

    Feels outrageous to me given what I see in the talent here. Yes, they will improve I think but not that much. I think we have three dependable starters, three very good positional players and maybe four. Offensively we're weaker down the lineup than last year in my opinion.

    Wow. This is a new as I agree it's not a manager problem but the man being quoted may be.

    I'm not new. I'm 83 years old😂. One thing not new is years of suffering as a Mets fan.

    I'm getting there as well but still would wait awhile. You don't need almost a whole season to bring guys up to see what they have or don't have. Certainly open to a major trade for pitching or power in middle of our lineup.

    Said it before that Mendoza makes mistakes but all managers do. This team is the problem. How many losses can we put on managing? No Cohen/Stearns are responsible. Unfortunately Boy Genius will survive and the sacrifice will be Mendoza.

    You and I are fans. When I think of media I mean writers, sports hosts ect. Unfortunately many are financially tied to teams (not just here) and I find are hesitant to aim criticism at who essentially pays them.

    Think you hit the nail on the head. It's about time the media stops about Mendoza on or not on a hot seat and puts the focus on Mr. Genuis and even the owner where the responsibility for this mess really lies. This doesn't give the manager a pass but he's not THE problem.

    This team is not that good(thanks to Boy Genius). Mendoza may not be that great but the problem is more in the construction and talent Boy Genius has assembled.
