Said it before that Mendoza makes mistakes but all managers do. This team is the problem. How many losses can we put on managing? No Cohen/Stearns are responsible. Unfortunately Boy Genius will survive and the sacrifice will be Mendoza.

I like Mendoza but said to my wife why take your hot bat out just to get a low average right hand bat in there.ugh!.

You and I are fans. When I think of media I mean writers, sports hosts ect. Unfortunately many are financially tied to teams (not just here) and I find are hesitant to aim criticism at who essentially pays them.

Think you hit the nail on the head. It's about time the media stops about Mendoza on or not on a hot seat and puts the focus on Mr. Genuis and even the owner where the responsibility for this mess really lies. This doesn't give the manager a pass but he's not THE problem.

This team is not that good(thanks to Boy Genius). Mendoza may not be that great but the problem is more in the construction and talent Boy Genius has assembled. -
You seem to think this team and probably the coaching staff that he's been given are much better than I do. Mendoza is not ,in my opinion, the problem. This team is just not that good. I would have no problem if they want to fire Mendoza but if Genius Boy doesn't go out the door with him that would be an injustice. But that's the way it usually goes. The guy who constructed the team gets to fire the manager who is the insulation for his own mismanagement.

FIRE BOY GENUIS!!! He is THE problem. Mendoza is Stearns sacrificial person. Cohen save the team and realize this guy was a mistake maybe understandable but a mistake.

This is the last thing we needed. I think division no chance but hoping playoffs. The way things are going who knows.

Trade Stearns . Maybe a team out there would take him if we add enough others with him😂

Optimistic they'll get better(how could they not) but not optimistic about the division and even playoffs. The hole is getting deeper. -
He's probably a nice fellow but for some reason he's always come across to me as a relatively young and arrogant person. Maybe that's not the case but it's the feeling I've had since he arrived here.

Sucks? Could be but overrated I think. Question would be was he the only one who put his past club together or did he just get all the credit. Who knows but he's been bad here to this point.

Hard to believe you could be letting a season slip away before you get into May but this is getting serious if they don't get this straightened out pretty soon.

I really don't think the manager is the problem. Yes, as all managers do he's made mistakes but given the club he's been handed I sympathize with him. Total new coaching staff, almost total new roster, maybe over expectations on players like Benge and even Baty, too much confidence in pitching staff to rebound leaving us with three guys you really can count on for starters and first base well flip a coin at that position. I'll pound the drum again.....Boy Genuis at this point in his tenure looks much worst than our manager.

Mendoza is on the hot seat. Still I think play it out and no playoffs fire Stearns and let his replacement decide on manager. I know we continue with "it's still early" argument but these losses count as much as losses later in season.

True. There's something about him😇. Guess in the time he's been here I've overall not liked his moves. I discount Soto as I believe that was all the owner. Having said that I guess there's worst and probably better GM's.

If the lineup is bad as you state then it seems to me the problem is more the GM than the manager. If you on the other hand think the lineup is good and underperforming then we can look at the manager. My inclination is to look at Stearns who in rebuilding the team was good at the tear down a d thus far looks like poorly performing the rebuild.
