  1. At least he cited a source. Next time he'll look it up but will claim he got it on his own.

  3. metirish wrote: ="DocTee"]Owings should bat cleanup...wouldn't you agree, Val? HE SHOULD BE PLAYING FOR US....... Lol x2
  4. Church second and Castillo eighth should be bolded too. Way to go Willie.
  5. Great stuff I saw that link in a Sports Guy article and somewhere else but this is the first time I've watched it. Hopefully someone will step up and do a Mets one. Who would be fun, too many to name really Darryl, Lenny, Teufel, HoJo, Backman. Piazza and BigMac and Olerud would be nice calm stances. Carter standing nice and tall and calm and then violent down on a swing and miss. He already got Vaughn and Rickey.
  6. Glavine was never a douchebag, Willets. I felt that your "I Hate Glavine He Has Icky Brave Cooties" routine got old in June of his first year with the Mets, even though everyone else joined you after the Marlins ass-reamed him last year in game 162. Are those reasons (Brave-cooties, game 162 last year, and a pedestrian Metly-career) the ones for calling him a douchebag? Or did he actually call out his teammates and act like an ass in a Wagnerian manner? I can't remember him being a prick offhand.
  7. He just gave a two minute interview without looking at Burkhardt once. Weird.
  8. I think HoJo has a man-crush on Young David. Who can blame him?
  9. I'm sad to say I just don't think that Omar is that smart. But I really have nothing to back that up. So I guess just ignore this post.
  10. OTOH, we might have more available players that time of year.
  11. Nymr83 wrote: winning a bunch of games before any of their current fasns were born doesn't make them any less "losers" just like yankee championships 50 years ago are meaningless. LOL Yank fans are ridiculous. Are you really proud of that World Series title from before your grandfather was born?
  12. I have no idea if this is even a comic book movie, let alone a Marvel comic book movie. But I just saw a preview for Hancock (Will Smith). Two disclaimers: One, I get overly excited for cool previews, even though they aren't correlated with movie quality. Two, I have have a huge man-crush on Will Smith. I am fired up for this movie after that preview (July 2).
  13. Val do you really not understand? Even Rogers gets it.
  14. Please don't touch my monkey.
  15. Nymr83 wrote: Quick, how many posts 'til the next level? In "honor" of being Benitez I'll recap what I remember most about his Met career: Down the stretch in 2001, the mets are putting together an improbable run at the division until Armando blows 2 saves against the division-leading Braves within a week in September. the Mets eventually end up 6 games out. 2000 NLDS game 2, Armando coughs up the lead with a 3-run bomb in the ninth to JT Snow, gets the W by deafult when the Mets win it in the 10th. 2000 WS Benitez blows it in the 9th long before trhe yanks win it in the 11th The 24th most productive Met by the CPF's (very-good) ranking system.

  17. mario25 wrote: I hate our bullpen.... They hate you too... ]Heilman is no stopper in the eighth inning, What the fuck is a stopper? ]Schowenweis is terrible, Not against lefties. ]Sosa is bad too.... Sosa is average... ]they are not the stoppers you need in a good bullpen.... see above....
  18. Heilman getting booed? Fans are morons.
  19. Benjamin Grimm wrote: ="Valadius"]What's wrong with Castillo? Why's he out of the game? "Right knee soreness." Are they both his knees? My grandmother had one replaced a few years back and it bothers her from time to time too.
  20. Frayed Knot wrote: ="Triple Dee"]Is it just me or does Castillo look like he has a permanent limp? I was half listening to a radio interview with Willie a couple of days ago and he said something about Castillo having one leg shorter than the other. Didn't catch all the details but he's definitely one of those guys who has a different style gait when he's walking as opposed to running. LOL. Bret would have a field day with that one.
  21. Mr. Zero wrote: For the life of me I can't imagine what kind of P.R. meeting would produce the idea: "Let's have a wax figure of David Wright ride the 7 train to Shea". Then again, probably the same type of brainstorming that generated: "Lets have an apple pop out of a top hat whenever a Met hits a home run". I hope I never get that grumpy. Like you wouldn't sit next to the wax dummy and take a picture? Try to enjoy your life.
  22. Rogers just wants attention and to boost his post total. One is inevitable but the other is not.
