  1. I can't take this. G'night.
  2. And Valentin's defense rears its ugly head. DP ball to Wright, he throws to Valentin, Valentin just plain misses it.
  3. Gwreck wrote: With 2 outs and a runner on, you shouldn't be pitching around Lowe, Pedro. I agree, thought I wonder if it's just a control problem that he's having today.
  4. I'm sad. And tired. And hungry. I need some comfort food.
  5. I think a 5 is a little high (for Soler), but I can see the argument for it. I think 6 is too much. JMHO.
  6. You do realize that your split is 60/40 right? Because that's not all that different.
  7. Ball off the wall for a double will clear the pitcher. Beltran slowed up and watched it go over his head. I think he could have caught that. I think he should have caught that. Pedro 3-0 to the pitcher. Not on his game today.
  8. Showing the reply of Floyd getting hurt, he hit a dark patch of dirt as he was slowing up which caused him to twist his ankle. Must've been a divot. Some good news from the Mets clubhouse: Negative X-rays for both Reyes and Floyd, they are listed as both having sprains, and are both day-to-day. My question: So they have an X-ray machine back there?
  9. Gwreck wrote: Here's a funny coincidence: Angels are playing the Devil Rays today (6/6/06). HAHAHA That's great.
  10. Soler had a nice game. Let's not go overboard.
  11. *gulp* When does Nady get back? Victor Diaz getting another shot?
  12. metirish wrote: That was a fine catch, Damon led the cheeerleading,Kay sounded like he wet himself calling the play...good catch though. Agreed. That's a pretty cool moment with the game situation and all. Kay's call wasn't even that bad. Kay sometimes wets himself over pop flys to second, but I wouldn't blame himself for wetting himself over this one.
  13. Yancy Street Gang wrote: Oh yeah, this year it counts. So they're still doing that?
  14. So the Mets just lose a pick then? Sucks, no?
  15. Buffalo?
  16. soupcan wrote: So we got one guy who had shoulder surgery, one guy was 3-8 in college, one tall guy with attitude problems and a guy with average stuff. Whoo-hoo. Well, we got two guys for their upside and one guy for his stats, and one guy for both but had surgery. There's something of a balance in there.
  17. Even worse...what if Howie mentions it just as Keith is having a sip of coffee and Keith doesn't comment at all?!?!?! Luckily I think Ron is doing the game today.
  18. I'll do this one: RMPL
  19. I'm surprised that college has guys designated as bullpen guys. Though I guess that was pretty much how we did it for high school too.
  20. I am not a fan of drafting based on upside.
  21. I admire the diligence on the parts of Rocking Doc and Yancy Street Gang in their respective polling efforts. You each deserve some Schaefer and whatever the beer of the game is.
  22. Frank Robinson?
  23. I really wanted to go Delgado....but I went Soler.
  24. Ohhh. Good one. But you should've taken credit for it instead of saying you read it.
