  1. Great job ABNS. I thought Nomar had been pencilled in at first all along since Opening Day?
  2. You shouldn't blame all Armando-bashing on M&MD. Just most of it. When they do talk about it, Dog will probably bitch and moan because it's his team, but I'll wager they will bring up that Armando has owned the Mets since he left.

Please. You would have been pissed if it Barry Bonds had done that at Pac Bell after tying the game off Wagner. Just like any other Met fan would've.

  5. Trachsel 3 Milledge 3 Valentin 2 Wright 2
  6. Uncle Jesse's ex is hot. As soon as the game ended WB immediately cut to a show of her dancing provocatively. Nice abs.
  7. I am usually all about the ten point maximum. So hard to stick to today. Traxxx, Wright, Milledge and Valentin all deserve a goodly amount of points. Bradford was big too. I urge you all not to give Reyes any beer. His error was the difference in the game, IMHO.
  8. Now I'm grumpy.
  9. Gary says that Accardo is being groomed to be the closer. In the KTE I said he should be the colser.
  10. The fourth pitch to David was without any question a ball. WTF. Right down the middle on 3-1 he misses.
  11. ScarletKnight41 wrote: What are you doing here? You're supposed to be at Shea? Haha he left early. NEVER EVER LEAVE A GAME EARLY.
  12. You know, he really looked out from the center field camera.
  13. For the record, this thread was started after Lastings' two-out, two-run double, but before his extra-inning, game-tying home run.

  15. Where do you look up "Most Extra-Innings Game Played in a Single Season?" Edit: As soon as I hit Submit, Keith gave it to us: Boston Red Sox - 31 extra inning games in 155 games played. I missed the year. Did anyone else catch it?
  16. Shit I missed the year Boston Red Sox - 31 extra inning games in 155 games played.
  17. Gwreck wrote: LoDuca, another late inning hit. OE: He's still getting ribbed by the WFAN guys for the "Closet Wheels" comment. I missed this. What comment was that?
  18. MFS62 wrote: Why is the closer in there in a tie game? If he was going to go with formula pitching in the eighth, why throw out the "book" in the ninth? Later Later In a tie-game in the top of the ninth or later at home, you bring the closer in because you win it in the bottom of that inning. Edit: I'm Jerry Grote.
  19. I agree. I was thinking more for next year, assuming Cliff leaves. I'd rather have Milledge play right and Nady play left.
  20. I think I know why they didn't drive in Valentin from third in the eighth. The Mets prefer to win walkoff-style.
  21. And as I type Milledge makes another very good play in right.
  22. Hasn't hit much yet. One of his hits was a blooper, but his first at-bat was a rope that got caught. That throw to nail Counsell at third (replay available in the link below) was beautiful. I can't think of another time when a speedy guy, who was running with the pitch, got thrown out on a single to right! (It was funny how they put it in the game recap that day, saying that "Counsell, clearly stunned by the play, could only shake his head and glance back towards Milledge as he returned to the dugout".) The fielding looks good. Even if Beltran is a little overrated in center, I'm perfectly happy leaving Milledge and the cannon attached to his shoulder in rightfield. Put Nady in left next year.
  23. Infield in, Lastings grounds out to short. Runner can't score.
  24. It's Milledge time. Z---- we need a bottle of Miller with Milledge photoshopped in the label. Maybe one of the High Life ones.
