  1. They turned two on right, but that was a lazy-ass throw to start it. David almost beat it.
  2. Gotta figure Webb is getting the start right?
  3. Excellent turn by Valentin. Edit: On replay, it wasn't a hard one at all, the runner to second never got close.
  4. Milledge, Beltran, Chavez. Too bad we're not playing at a field like the Polo Grounds. That is one speedy motherjumping outfield.
  5. You know...with Gagne back...the Dodgers are pretty darn good team. I used to hate them in the days of Mike Scioscia.
  6. Nomar's OCD routine at the plate doesn't really bother me. I forgot Glavine is on short rest today. I think that he just doesn't know what to do with all this run support.
  7. Milledge's triple was also very close....I'm all for hustle, but one of those old schoool rules that I really believe in is "Never make the last out at third."

  9. Very close play at the plate. Bang-bang. Or slide-bang. Edit: That's cool, going from being Ron to being Keith.
  10. GYC wrote: Props to Willie calling the double steal on an 0-1 count with the injured Beltran stealing 3rd, and then having Franco get a 2-RBI single. Major props. True....if he called it. I seriously doubt that was called from the dugout.
  11. Elster88 wrote: That's a shitty lineup. ="Julio Franco"]You're a moron. Though it was two weak hits...Julio's was a broken bat seeing-eye single up the middle.
  12. Wow. No throw on the double steal. Carlos can run. Too bad Delgado hits between them, they could do that all year. (SC = 85)
  13. Question: Who goes the other way better than Young David?
  14. Carlos: "Looks like a line drive in the box score." Gary tells us this is the 16th time this year that David has batted cleanup.
  15. Gwreck wrote: Probably also worthy of noting that it's not as if Carlos D. has been, you know, hitting much. Sadly, the same could be said of most of the team.
  16. BEHIND THE BAG That has to be a rug, right?
  17. SteveJRogers wrote: YOUR A MORON! *sigh*
  18. That's a shitty lineup.
  19. If Beltran is going to play center, why would you ever start Milledge in left instead of right? The guy has a missile launcher where his arm should be.
  20. Harold Reynolds is a moron. Just so ya know.
  21. Possibly the worst movie ever made.
  22. Did he get the television gene?
  23. That story is in Pearlman's book too. Can you imagine if that happened in this day and age....wait a second, what number did we take Kazmir in the draft again?
  24. ] to erase the influence of Joe Torre Joe Torre, pride of the AL manging class.
  25. Simmons attended yesterday's game ]1. As recently as five years ago, any local crazy enough to suggest that Nomar and Pedro would ever face each other on non-Boston teams would have been banned from WEEI, beaten up at Sully's Pub, thrown off the bleachers at Fenway or committed to a mental institution. They owned the town during 1998-2001; nobody else came close. Even now, ranking the greatest Boston athletes in terms of "how high their popularity climbed at their absolute apex," both guys easily crack the top 12 along with Orr, Bird, Williams, Havlicek, Cooz, Clemens, Yaz, Flutie, Brady and Big Papi. Now Pedro was facing Nomar in a freaking Mets-Dodgers game? What was next, Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman reuniting for "Weekend at Bernie's 3?"
