  1. Crap-that didnt take long. OldMan Williams stole second and that young man Phillips drove him in with a single. 2-0 Skanks.

  5. Man--I can really bring down a room sometimes, huh? All for a cheap chuckle. Its 1-0 Skanks thru 2 and a half. Im about to send out the Mets trainer to check the team for a pulse.
  6. ="Gwreck"]Milledge back to AAA. Lastings-YOU ARE THE WEAKEST LINK! GOODBYE! awwww,lol--thats mighty cruel of me--just a joke tho. He wasnt the "weakest".
  7. Cliffy! Yay! Howd we make room for him? Giambi homers?!? Not a good way to start.
  8. The Mets will send Orlando Hernandez (4-7, 5.82 ERA), one of the key pitchers on the Yankees' championship teams of 1998-2000, to the mound Friday. The veteran right-hander has started twice against his former team and lost both games, posting a 5.25 ERA. Both outings came last season while he pitched for the Chicago White Sox. Mike Mussina (9-3, 3.28), who defeated Hernandez in one of the matchups last season, will oppose his former teammate. The right-hander is 5-2 with a 3.84 ERA in nine career starts versus the Mets. He allowed four runs - two earned - in seven innings of the Yankees' 5-4 comeback victory against the Mets on May 20, and didn't earn a decision. Mussina bounced back from a string of four straight subpar outings Sunday, defeating Florida with seven innings of one-run ball in New York's 2-1 win. He had recorded a 6.85 ERA in his previous four starts. Hernandez is coming off his shortest outing of the season. He lasted 1 2-3 innings and gave up six runs in a 7-4 loss to Toronto on Saturday. ______ Alex Rodriguez is batting .329 (24-for-73) lifetime with eight homers and 12 RBIs against the Mets. He is 7-for-25 (.280) with three homers and eight RBIs against Hernandez. Yankees center fielder Johnny Damon is 16-for-38 (.421) against El Duque. The biggest concern for Mussina may be Delgado. The Mets slugger is hitting only .212 (18-for-85) against the right-hander, but has five home runs and five doubles off him. Delgado is batting .281 with 30 homers and 91 RBIs in 139 career games against the Yankees, with two of the homers coming in the three earlier meetings this season. The Yankees lead the Subway Series 30-21 since interleague play began in 1997. ___________________________________________from CBS Sportsline__________________________ *meh-I know, if im just gonna cut and paste why bother. But handy info is handy info.
  9. The Mets made some mistakes tonight, didnt take advantage of some opportunities, but Ill have to say the whole game hinged on Coco's catch. IMO.
  10. Edgy DC wrote: Stupid Cars from stupid Boston. I hear they are touring as the "New Cars" sans Rick O', and with Todd Rundgren takin his place. I love Todd but that sounds pretty stupid.
  11. Tuff series. Well, these Red Sox have been Red Hot. Not a good game. Is that the 1st time we've lost 3 in a row? Mets will get it back on track---whos next? Oh- MFYs!!!!!! We'll wipe the floors with em.

  16. Im not sayin anything positive or negative here with this pic- its just the pics are hitting the web and Ill post afew as we go. Mr Franco gets picked off in the 5th.
  17. Sox score playing textbook baseball. Single/steal/sac/sac fly.
  18. Johnny Dickshot wrote: Milledge long ago stopped contributing anything... Lets rephrase that and say Milledge is "due". Coo Coo the Clown with a lead off bunt single. I dont like that a bit.
  19. Gwreck wrote: WFAN guys suggested that Beltran erred by allowing Manny to advance to 2nd on that play rather than keeping the double play in order. could have a point but Ortiz looked like he was running in slo-mo and i thought we had a decent chance to get him there. I doubt manny went untill he saw where the throw was going. ......Maybe Im giving too much credit to Manny. Chavez slaps a liner of the Mohnstah for a double.
  20. Nymr83 wrote: sox tie it on 2-straight fly balls moving ortiz to 3rd and then home. this inning could have been alot worse. tru- Did u see Pappi chuggin to 3rd?lol That was a big heads up play by the Sox. 2-2 after 6.
  21. Ugh. Milledge swings at crapiola.
  22. Glavine misplays the Gonzalez bunt for a single and and error. But he is stranded at second as Tommy gets out of another fix. We better start getting to Shilling-----like NOW.
