  1. Wright and Valentin with back to back singles to lead off the fourth. Runners on 1st and 3rd, Nady at the dish.
  2. Edgy DC wrote: Freel takes a rip and half, doesn't he? Im amazed he hasnt played everyday this season. Valentins GREAT grab on a wicked liner saves Soler this inning. I was afk so i dont know how they got the runners on, but it was 1st and 2nd, 2 out when he snagged that. Nice play.
  3. I love LoDukes throw back loose pants/hi-sox look. On him,....I wouldnt be caught dead lookin like that. Looks like this Reds pitcher Mays is settling in, and we gotta start rattling his cage. Beltran does as he lines one off 2nd baseman Phillips and reaches. Delgado up, runners on the corners. DAMN THAT SHIFT! A seeing eye grounder through what should be a hole sees its way into Phillips glove for an easy ground out. Mets dont capitalize.
  4. Reyes works a full count and then lines a double off the wall in right. Damn he's rakin it lately.
  5. Edgy DC wrote: I imagine that flop hurt Nady some. It certainly was painful to watch, lol.
  6. Freel singles again. LoDuca gives him second as he lets a pitch get by him for a past ball. Freel and Reyes have a very friendly looking chat out there as theres a lull in the action. Lopez lines a single up the middle and Im really surprised they held up Freel at third. Griffey up--- Griff knocks a base clearing double by Nady, who gives it a nice diving try. It was a low wicked liner that finds the gap. Wright with a real nice diving play at third saves a double and a run. Nice tag by Delgado on the other end of the play. Soler walks Dunn, who is the easiest K in the league (also hits the ball a country mile when he dont K). Soler gets out of it without further damage, but a tuff inning for the rook pitcher. 3-1 Reds.
  7. ESPN shows last nights effort for the inside the park homer by Val. I wasnt even aware that that happened.
  8. UGH! Valentin leads off the 2nd with a nice line single to right, tries to stretch it into two and is out by a freakin mile!
  9. Soler gives up a line single to Hatteberg in the second, but works around it for a nice quick inning of work in the second. ESPN shows a pretty neat 3-D view of the Mets future stadium between innings. Niiiiiiiiiiiice.
  10. ^awsum^ Freel with a nice play on Wrights grounder down the line ends the inning. All tied up, 1-1
  11. Reyes with the lead off
  12. Freel is bunted over- Griffey drives him in with a sac fly to right. 1-0 Reds. Soler looks a little up in the zone, but closes the 1st with a nice K of Kearns.
  13. Freel gets a start, and I would rather not see that. And his speed already effects the game with a slow grounder to third that Wright throws away in a rush. Freel pulls into second base to lead off the game.
  14. I also may have kinda jinxed Milledge cuz I made this real kool custom KaBOOM for him and he hasnt hit a homer since.
  15. I want him up, but the odds are he will go down. Pitching is just such a more important commodity. Id rather see Bell on a shuttle but that has much more of a chance of coming back to bite you in the ass than one less bat on the bench. Woodward? To versatile a filler to send down. As much as I want to see Lastings up and coming off the bench, I cant see the advantage for the team to make the room for him at this point in the season. No knock on Milledge. Chavez and Valentin have just covered the corner outfield spots too well when theres the need. Now we got this Marrero guy whos another good filler. And by this weekend both Floyd and Nady are back. I personally hope that Floyd starts to hit like we know he can, cuz Id hate to lose him via trade, esp if this teams on the way to the post season. Floyd should be there for that. But I give him 3 weeks to a month. If he dont get his swing back in consistant form, somethings gonna give there. But Floyd will be given the chance and there will be future opportunities for Milledge.
  16. One thing Ive noticed about Milledge is that he kinda does both. He'll balance things out by saying a cliche thing and then adding what he really thinks, or vica versa. I like that a kid his age has the presence of mind to know what he should say, and say it, then also try to get it in there what he wants to say. His own little P.R. work. With one sentence he sounds cocky and bush, then in another sentence he sounds humble and respectful. (lemme pre-apoligize for using the words cocky and bush in that sentence^ ) It reflects his own personality and self-confidence. And I like that. I just hope he can walk that walk.
  17. Reyes: 1 Marrero: 1 Wright: 4 Castro: 1 Glavine: 2 Feliciano: .1 Bradford: .3 Sanchez: .3 Heilman: .3
  18. This did look like a good one. Watchin the hi-lites now on ESPN--Trax went yard-lol-awsum. WOW-the ESPN guy called it a KaBOOM! That throw by Lastings-Beautiful. Delgado goes down to get that off speed and puts it in orbit. Nady hits two into the night. LoDuke with three ribs. Nice line by Trachsel. Phils lose even tho Howard was a one man wrecking crew. Good night.
  19. It is great to hear about Karl again. I for one am really glad he's still with us. And there is no doubt he should be recognized officially by the Mets as one of the best fans in the teams history. #1 in my book. He did write up barbs for and against the Mets, but in those early days you HAD to have a sense of humor. Bottomline: he was very entertaining.
  20. Reyes- 2 Chavez- .5 Beltran- .3 Wright- 2 Franco- .2 Trachsel- 2 Heilman- 1 Sanchez- 1 Wagner- 1
  21. Reyes- 2 Valentin- .8 Woodward- .5 Soler- 4.7 Bell- 2
  22. Reyes- 1 Delgado- 2 Milledge- 1 Martinez- 2 Feliciano- 1.2 Bradford- .5
  23. I think this is kool. Afew more flattering awards like that and maybe we can name a stadium after that bank.
  24. Elster88 wrote: Edit: By stool, I do not mean feces. Just read thru this-Im still crackin up from this^. ElDouque pitched a excellent game and its ashame his performance was wasted. But that Arroyo is having a hell of a season, and he outdueled us. Ill settle for a split this series and we should take the next two. Aside from Arroyo and Harang the Reds pitching really doesnt impress me. And we dont have to face Harang this series, tG.
  25. Im sure Im not the only one who cant believe the Angels sent Jared Weaver down. Thats pretty wack.
