  1. That western sounding song on the Amazon commercial that sounds so familiar to me for some reason is from the soundtrack of 1969's Paint Your Wagon and Lee Marvin sings it! As soon as I saw his name I was like, of course that was Lee Marvin! That voice. [youtube:1o2698kj]NTymtAbaG08[/youtube:1o2698kj] I'd been wondering what this song was for weeks, having seen the commercial. My brother used his phone recognition shit during the commercial (he only caught the last 10 seconds of the song too) and he had the song name in a split second. Amazin'.
  2. Did you see how fast Conforto's laser shot went out? And it nicks the pole! Cespedes Power! I think I need a bag to breath into.
  3. I have my Mitchell & Ness '69 Seaver jersey like last night. But about the third inning I took it off because I was having hotdogs and I could not even take a chance of getting ketchup on it. So then I put on my cheapo no number '86 Jersey, so I have to do that again tonight. Cept no hot dogs.

  6. I had a dream last night. Flores ran into one with the head of his bat, he dropped the barrell right on it full force, and it went so far over the left field pavilion that all the fans in the stadium were crying. There was a close up of Mattingly and he was crying. Justine Turner tried to cover it up, but he was crying. Everyone was crying except Wilmer Flores. Awwww, he's not in the line-up. Never mind. kill KILL KILL
  7. Benjamin Grimm wrote: In the post-game press conference (which I watched this morning) someone asked Terry if he was considering replacing Tyler Clippard with Addison Reed as the eighth inning guy. Terry responded by saying, "You may be thinking about it, but I'm not thinking about it." I was thinking, Terry, you should be thinking about it. But then Nelson Figueroa and Keith Hernandez and (maybe?) Jim Duquette said that they agreed with Terry. And that surprised me. I thought the conventional wisdom was that you're supposed to play the hot hand in the playoffs. I certainly rather TC didn't publicly discount it. Now he's put himself in a corner. Never let them know what you're thinking, as well as what you're not thinking.

  10. I don't know how I feel this close to gametime. There's a subdued excitement. It's like I don't want to get too excited. It's only the opening game. But this is postseason! Having company for the game so I'll catch you guyz after. No live cards tonight I'm just gonna take in the game and enjoy this. LETS GO METS!!!!!! kill KILL KILL!!!

Even our own RA Dickey wasn't as untouchable as Arrieta's been. Mike Scott? Yeah that's a good one, even though he was a dirty cheat. lol
