  7. Gah. Duda. But that was the perfect GET DUDA pitch.

Greinke was the best pitcher in baseball this year. As you saw with Kershaw the other night, if he's on, the other team can be shit out of luck. We are going to fucking lose. But wait, we have our own ace going tonight. And though you give the edge to Greinke, deGrom can be followed by Syndegaard, Matz, Harvey and Familia. The Mets can work to remove Greinke from the game and attack the bullpen. There is no relief in sight for the Dodgers lineup. We are going to fucking win! But the Dodgers are tough at home. Gonzalez has been getting hot. Turner has been hot all series long. They are dangerous up and down their lineup. One mistake can be fatal with Greinke on the mound. We are going to fucking lose. But our lineup is better. And we have our A lineup out there for only the second time this series. Given the choice of facing a lefty ace, or a righty ace, I pick the righty every time. Plus our guys have had great at bats against his slider. We are going to fucking win. If they lose, I am going to be pissed off about the blown call in Game 2 all winter long. This can't happen. We was fucking robbed! That's nonsense. Even after the call, Reed had a chance to get out of the inning tied. And since then, the Mets have had 2 chances to close out that series. Blaming one play three games ago is excuse making at its best. Get over it. That's baseball. Wait what? Fuck that. We was fucking robbed! It's ok if we don't win it all this year. This is the first step. We have a great base. Aces up and down the staff. We have a great lineup with some good young hitters. If we lose Cespedes, Sandy will find a way to put another competitive team out there. This team is committed to winning. We are seeing the beginning of a glorious time in Mets history. It's all good. But man, if they can get past tonight, I like our chances against anyone, and that includes Toronto. The Mets haven't put this good a team together since 1988. And it took a perfect storm of moves down the stretch to make this happen. They won't be as good next year, even if they re-sign Cespedes. We likely lose Murphy, Colon. No way our bench is as deep. Our chance is now! OMG IF WE DON'T WIN TONIGHT WE ARE NEVER GOING TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS AGAIN. I love this. Amusing and terrifying at the same time. That's pretty much how I feel atm. Amused and terrified.

  14. I'll pacify you with Pacella.
  15. Awesome! Don't know if that's usable for colorization but it's just kool to see the pic. Thanks.
  16. I've been rotating jerseys. I all depends on if I eat during the game. If I ever stain the Seaver jersey I'll shoot myself. I have a white 1986 25th anniversary logo hat, which I wear every game. I have many Mets caps but that's the one. I have a bunch of Mets jackets (& a kool hoodie) but they're all beat up and old (most recent, black style circa 2002). I have one really excellent jacket that's so kool, like my Seaver jersey, I hardly ever wear it. It has the NY on the breast, Mets logo on one shoulder, 2000 World Series logo on the other. Blue and black. I might have to whip that out for game 5. And maybe switch to a team 2000WS cap. I can't find any images of that jacket or the 86logo hat on-line. I'll have to take a picture of em.

Holmes happened to be there because he worked for the Mets front office at the time. Well, not exactly. As stated above, he didn't tie Wee Willie Keeler at Shea. (Keeler had the all-time National Leage record with 44 games.) At Shea he passed Tommy Holmes, who had the "modern" (meaning 20th Century) record of, I think, 37 games. I think you're right. I was at game 37 of the streak. Yes, the game I was at resulted in a continuation of the streak, not at the end(or the 44th). This streak was something I was following very closely. Because of the Seaver fiasco I wasn't running up to Shea as much. I had moved to Jersey a few years before but always drove up from SJ for at least 5 to ten games. I only went up the once in 78, with three of my brothers, and it was that game. After this trip I didn't visit Shea again until 1981. I wanted to see some guy named Mookie play.

I just hate that tomorrow may be the last baseball game I watch until April. I've been enjoying this ride and I'm not ready for it to end. Come on, Mets... let's keep the party going! Totally agree. Now I'm getting a lil teary eyed. Thanks alot. [fimg=400]http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/tennant-final-line-regen-want-to-go-end-of-time.jpg[/fimg] "I don't want it to end..." I changed it. Lil' bit. Ughm,..I mean, Mets are playing postseason baseball!! PARTY ON! LETS GO METS! 19. Even Bautista is like, no, Carters home run was way different you lunkhead.
  20. Jays stamp out Texas!
  21. There's only one thing I like about an enclosed stadium. That the crowd sounds like a roaring animal in the background.
  22. If our game 5 goes anything like this one I will need some kind of medication.
  23. Talking 86 Mets and Shea. I like

And I think on the force attempt at 3B it was on Beltre for the (non) catch rather than Andrus for the throw. Yea thanks, I saw that on review. I wasn't paying attention at the innings start. It was Andrus taking the throw at 3rd from Beltran, tho, I think. Andrus dropped that. This is postseason as I've been used to it the last bunch of years. It's exciting but I don't really care. If this was happening with or to the Mets, it be a whole nuther ballgame. I mean, could you imagine?
