  1. To Binghamton!
  2. Sure, I'll take Jason Bay for Cody Ross. Bay's polite Canadianness gives my bench a friendlier attitude.
  3. 4 for his last 9, all singles. 1 run scored. Not exactly smacking the ball all over the place or anything.
  4. Saw it last night. I gave it a B just because. I did really enjoy it though. Lots of action and craziness, which I tend to enjoy. Plus I have never seen any other incarnation of the A-Team, so I wasn't holding it up to any other standards.
  5. Because, why not? Drafted by the New York Mets in the 41st round of the 2009 MLB June Amateur Draft. He's another 'born in '86' Mets farmhand. turns 25 in December. He's a switch-hitter, mostly plays first base although has seen some time at 3B/LF/RF. Played in the Gulf in 2009 (after graduation, was a Florida Atlantic Owl) , Savanna last year, and is on the Port St. Lucie Mets, often eating at Duffy's with his roommates: Matt den Dekker and Rylan Sandoval. Joined Twittertwo weeks ago. Facebook. tozga12 could be his handle. Single from the right side.S3Jq-u3pLsY
  6. Here's a random shot of him on some back field in spring training.

Iffy imo, because supposedly that prospect guy the Phillies wanted to play RF is healthy again and if they promote him he could take Ben's time.
  8. and MCL goes boom. sad. surgery recommended.
  9. I'm rapidly dropping in the standings with no offensive help to find.
  10. Also, the den is lower case. Matt den Dekker.
  11. his words with friends ID is: mdendekker
  12. I didn't know if Knot was doing that or not or if he just tossed Nieuwy here for completenesses sake.
  13. How does this work, does the lack of an adopted prefix mean he's available for me to raise?

I liked it, thought it was decently funny, light and enjoyable. No cinematic breakthroughts or innovation for sure, but they weren't going for that either. I happen to like Paul Rudd (I think?) and whatshisface from How I Met Your Mother.
  15. You can't search Yahoo for names that i see. unless it's not yahoooooo.
  16. metirish wrote: The CPF and a league I set up last year with the purpose of getting a friend in to to league, ten of the twelve that participated last year are back which is super cool....it's head to head which I like. I opened up to sixteen teams this year, looking for a few more players in anyone is interested. I'd go to four (actually, 4 is Yahoo's limit before I have to go to my Ceetarsnose Yahoo account). Who doesn't need more fantasy baseball?
  17. Fman99 wrote: I'm doing the same 3 I did last year... 1. The CPF NL only 2. A head to head league, online, that ABNS brought me in on with some of his West coast homies 3. A 14 team money league ($65 entry) with keepers that I've run since 2002. First 14 rounds done via email, the last 14 done live online and in person at the Fman household... This one is my obsession... I've been meaning to step it up and get into a keeper/money/different type league this year, but I never remember to find one. I've got two other Yahoo leagues this year, one a recurring head-to-head one from..i think livejournal's baseball forum but I could be wrong on where it originated, and another via The Real Dirty Mets Blog peoples. I'm going to win all three.

  22. Robert (Queens): What are your thoughts on Wilmer Flores? Paul DePodesta: Two days ago during a minor league game played on Field 7 (a field that is built precisely to the dimensions of CitiField - walls and all), Flores went oppo to deep right center field. Oppo. Right-center. In CitiField. He's 19. Like him! Seriously, he can really hit.

Update on Kirk. This is what he did last year. Didn't fare so well once promoted to Buffalo. Seeems to have made a bunch of errors. Seems likely that he'll start there this year, and he ate at Duffy's Thursday night after he got back from Fort Myers and the Red Sox.
