Sorry Beenso, I've got nothing against Gammons, I've just seen so much criticism of him on the internet that I assumed you were being sarcastic. Now if you said that about McCarver, I would KNOW you were being sarcastic.
The 8-gazillion variations on the Foxwoods "psychiatrist-word association" ads are grating and annoying. I'll take the jingle any time, at least its melodic and catchy.
Free copies of Angela's Ashes to the first 10,000 fans(Kidding, I know the difference btw. Frank McCourts, but the one that doesn't own the Dodgers could probably help sell out Shea as well).

It's Minny's only hit of the game but it's enough for the 1-0 vicotry. Johan Santana combined w/Joe Nathan for a 3-hit shutout.Right there is reason enough to love (and hate) baseball.
I'm listening to the Red Sox game tonight, and Joe or Jerry (I can't tell the difference) said that in the midst of the Royals losing streak they had scheduled a weekend reunion of the 1985 championship team. The game was postponed by rain and the next day when they went ahead with the ceremony only a handful of the '85 players were still in town because they'd had plane reservations. That's so depressing.
I saw Jeff D'Amico ranked at the top early in the thread and thought "what the fuck!" Only after a lot of scrolling and more careful reading did I figure out that these rankings were done while the season was in progress.
="Rotblatt"] Pagan got injured or at least has been unable to play recently. As noted in the Adopt a Prospect forum, Angel Pagan's father passed away and so Pagan left the team for a while to attend the funeral.
