  2. That's what I got too, but I don't trust my math. That would certainly crush the Mets single season record.
  3. How many stolen bases would Reyes have for the season at the current pace?
  4. Somehow Green's hat didn't fall off on that one.
  5. I don't want to hear anything about how much the Mets offense sucks after this game.
  6. This one is worth staying up late for.
  7. I'm overwhelmed by the impartiality shown by the D-Backs' announcers.
  8. It better be real purty!
  9. The Squid spaced and forgot to archive yesterday. Will try to archive later today. As usual bump or notify me about threads you want to save on the board. The cut off date is April 3.
  10. Gwreck wrote: ="Johnny Dickshot"]Cheers! (clink!) Pleased to see we Schaefer drinkers got it right I prefer to think that the Media got it right by matching us. Well they did go through the effort of awarding Schaefer points to all those players on all those other teams in order to conclude that they don't match up to our guys. Nice work Yancy. Just curious, who was the best position player in those months that Tom Glavine won both awards?
  11. Paine of Maine goes down the draine?
  12. I recall that the very first time the Devil Rays played the Mets (a game I attended that featured Rick Reed's near perfect game), the scoreboard at Shea said simply "Tampa." Devil Rays officials protested that their name is "Tampa Bay." The next game the scoreboard simply read "Rays".
  13. Some relevant threads: Benson-Julio Redux --Commentary on this thread in: Edgy and Bret - Together Again Benson for Julio and "The Duke" John Maine Benson deal--What if? Non-clever poll on the Benson trade Being John Maine
  14. Johnny Dickshot wrote: Not for nothing but I'll wear a pair of Yankee boxer shorts on my head -- and no pants at all -- during the FOX FanCam inning of the Mets-Yanxx series if it's ever shown this trainer had more to do with the MFY injuries than bad luck or good karma. The best part is that they would identify you as a Yankees fan.
  15. Edgy DC wrote: ]Piazza is married to former "Baywatch" star Alicia Rickter... . Not to quibble about who is and isn't in the Baywatch canon, but she was in two episodes. Or, one more than her husband. That kind of scares me that you know that.
  16. Chavez 2 Delgado .50 Perez 4 Reyes 2 Schoeneweis .50 Smith 1
  17. Centerfield wrote: Maybe I'll start a thread with my Thoughts on the Game. You must have 10 thoughts. No more. No less.
  18. And shuffles back with a fly out.
  19. This has been an error-prone game. Can't these guys play on a weekday afternoon?
  20. LOB's don't matter much to me if there's lots of scoring beforehand.
  21. Frayed Knot wrote: Those damn French don't know how to pronounce anything! I believe the pronounce anything as nim-poor kwah (n'importe quoi).
  22. Much respect for Delgado or no respect for Wright. Make 'em pay David.
  23. Crazy Marlins -- They're practically GIVING this game away!
  24. Ooh, that one will play on blooper reels for decades to come.
