  1. The Squid makes his weekly visit this afternoon. Bump or pm me about any threads that haven't been posted in since April 17 that you want to make sure don't get sent offsite.
  2. That's just Manny being Manny.
  3. Worst of all, he's wearing an argyle sweater. Where's the street cred in that? Unless it's the streets of Darien.
  4. cooby wrote: No, not when I tried to vote, but then when I tried it said cooby does not exist. Kinda freaky feeling. Of course you don't exist. You're my imaginary friend.
  5. Cooby: Were you logged in? KC: What I was getting at is that most people link photos from other sites so if we want to make sure we can see them in the future we'd have to load them on one's own server. I don't think anyone other than you has the ability right now to load images on to your server for the archives. Maybe we could do something like a joint Flickr account because otherwise we'd have to pester you every time we want to save a photo.
  6. Since we save every damn thing ever written on this forum, let's take a look back at some great threads from the archives. First, a classic IGT from 2005 which Swan Swan H tries to carry all by himself (I miss that guy). Then Holy Chicken tells a story about an evil squirrel. A thread about fighting ham and fondling cheerleaders. On EZBoard, a thread about what number Matsui will wear devolves into freestyle rap on page 2. Something that happens quite often actually. Sadly, some of our threads lose a whole lot when links to photos go dead. We should find somewhere trustworthy to host our favorite photos. .
  7. I bet the 11-year-old girl loves the Yankees too.
  8. Yancy Street Gang wrote: Is it working, though? Are viewers actually tuning in to watch Tiger Woods milking a cow? Actually I'd find that more interesting than golf.
  9. Ultimate Mets Database. Know it. Love it. Worship it.
  10. I split the stuff that didn't have to do with knowing the Cubs to a new thread but as usual in my grand incompetence, I missed a post.
  11. I only put in 1¢, should I put in another.

  15. On first glance I thought that they were starting the World Series this Wednesday, which would be one hell of a gimmick.
  16. mm...don't confuse them with logic.
  17. Can't stand to hear Ronan Tynan mangle "God Bless America?" Too bad, cuz you're locked in with chains!
  18. I sat by some hilarious hecklers in the outfield bleachers in San Francisco. I think that since they were mainly just having fun, not intending to hurt, and not taking themselves seriously is why they were actually funny.
  19. Yard Work's take.
  20. That's the sense I got to. Few people have to deal with heckling by spectators in their day-to-day work.
  21. Comments: 1. You have to love a man with a Napoleonic complex. 2. Manager/Umpire arguments are not far removed from playground fights. 3. I wonder what game that first clip came from and what call provoked the fight. 4. At the end of the first clip Weaver goes to talk with his pitcher despite being run out of the game. The umpire makes no effort to stop him.
  22. I think we should all get second inning massages, even if we're just watching the game. It could be a new baseball tradition akin to the seventh inning stretch.
  23. Their runs scored totals are in the middle of the pack for all of MLB. I expect they'll win more than lose as the season goes along. In fact, accordining to baseball-reference their Pythagorean W-L is a very good 19-13. The Yankees are not out of this so we should refrain from premature jocularity at their expense.
  24. Yankees lead the majors in runs scored with 190.
