  1. I voted July 1, but I agree with Ben, I think it will be sometime later in July.
  2. My wife, daughter, and I have watched all of the Marvel movies in their chronological order (not order of release) from Captain America: The First Avenger to The Avengers: End Game. We only have Spider-Man Far From Home left to watch. It is amazing how much the movies tie into one another and make more sense when watched in this order rather than the order of the actual production and release.
  3. Nope! It's bad enough they use the DH in the AL, don't mess up the game in the NL. Just play by the rules of the home team (same as they already do). Problem solved. Better yet, get rid of the DL in the AL so everyone is playing by the same rules.* *A guy can dream.
  4. An expanded field of playoff teams increases the Mets chances of making the post-season. Beyond that, I really don't see a point (other than money) to this .
  5. I actually like this one. Should hopefully speed up the game a little.
  6. I strongly support this measure. Circumstances likely dictate empty stadiums for quite some time.
  7. No, no no! I would rather play a tenth inning (straight up, as in real baseball) if part of a double header or play 11 innings if a single game. If stil tied, then leave it a tie and move on.
  8. I voted somewhat approve, but this really isn't much of an issue to me.
  9. I would not want neutral site post-season games to become the norm, but this season is definitely not normal. I'm okay with this one as long it is for this season only.
  10. I have grown tired of the frequency with which the shift is implemented, however defensive alignment is part of the strategy of the game. Strongly disagree with legislating defensive alignment.
  11. There is a fly over view of an abandoned CitiField in post-apocalyptic NYC during "Avengers: The End Game" Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to post an image.
  12. First player to grab my attention as a kid, was Willie Mays. Tommie Agee was the first Met. Though a Mets fan, Brooks Robinson won me over with his performance in the 1969 World Series against the Mets. I know he was playing for the other guys, but I was a young kid playing third base and after his performance in the WS, Brooks became one of my guys.
  13. I always liked Beltran as a player. I hope for the best. I feel he can handle the clubhouse personalities and the press, but I just worry that his complete lack of managerial experience will be a major problem.
  14. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=660 time=1546747643 user_id=68] Who asked about Ellsbury or Gardner?
  15. Well, at least it's a possibe lefty arm for the bullpen. I hate that his WHIP has been increasing each of the past 3 seasons. His WHIP (1.588) and BB/9 (5.3) were at career high levels last year. At least his K/9 (9.1) was solid. As bad as Blevins was last season, his number were superior to Santiago. Last season Blevins posted WHIP (1.359) and BB/9 (4.6) and K/9 (8.6). I certainly hope there is another (better) lefty arm to be added to the pen.
  16. I don't think we will need to worry about Harper's production in the future, since it appears the Mets really aren't players in his free agency market. The only way it will effect the Mets, is as an opponent and his production against us, particularly if he signs and remains within the division.
  17. I want to see the Mets make some meaningful moves before I consider heading to CitiField in 2019. Too far and too expensive, if the Mets are going to make a serious effort to be legitimate contenders to win the division.
  18. Significantly improve the quality of the team playing there.
  19. We will see how it plays out, but I think I prefer Ramos for 2 years over Grandal for 4 years and the loss of a draft pick.
  20. Ag/DC - "Preston for Piazza, sort of." The Angels can only hope this trade turns out that well for them.
  21. Hey Jerry, in case you haven't figured it out yet. Bunting Is For Losers. When was the last time the Mets had a sacrifice bunt actually result in their scoring a run?
  22. Pelfrey 4.50 Areyes 1.50 Chavez 1.25 Delgado 1.00 Reyes 1.00 Wright 0.75
  23. Santana 5.25 Tatis 1.75 Wright 1.50 Castro 0.75 Beltran 0.75
