Just like that, Castro makes it so the Mets won't have to worry about facing Hader.
  2. The Hot Corner
    Castro seems lost of late.
  3. The Hot Corner
Unbelievable. Bases loaded with no outs and Lindor-Smith-Alonso all strike out. Someone has to be able to put a ball into play.
  4. The Hot Corner
    Ouch!

Awesome catch by Fargas. I thought for sure it would pop out of his glove when he hit the ground.

Dom plays a damn good defensive first base. He has dug several low throws the last few games and that toss after the diving stop was magical.

After watching it again, you are right. Still a nice online throw, but a little less air under it would have been better and would have allowed for a quicker tag.

Wow, Mets cash in on the break. Smith should have been out. Ump definitely missed that called third strike.
  9. The Hot Corner
Yeah, Bass was feelin' Maybin too.
  10. The Hot Corner
    I hope you're right.

Nice throw from Maybin. It looked like Anderson had got the plate ahead of the tag in a bang-bang play. Looked like the Mets wouold have got the call, had Nido been able to hold onto the ball.

Lucchesi having a gerat outing (much to my shock), but I would not have pulled him unless he is hurt. Of course I didn't understand their pulling Stroman when they did last night.
  13. The Hot Corner
    Wow, this is pretty depressing.

It was just a matter of time. The Braves did just about all they could to give the game away, but we just wouldn't accept their gift.

When Peraza hit that one, I thought it was going to fall in LF. I got excited for a split second.
  16. The Hot Corner
    Damn!

Maybin showing speed can still be a great weapon. Erases the possible McCann GIDP.

I was hoping for something else there Dom. I guess I should have been more specific.
  19. The Hot Corner
Time for Dom to do something here.
  20. The Hot Corner
    Another gift from the Braves.
  21. The Hot Corner
Braves keep trying to give this game away. Let's go ahead and take it.

McCann can't hit much, but he can definitely throw. Thank you Swanson for that mental lapse.

The Mets play the shift and leave the entire right side open for Contreras. So the Mets pitch him fastballs away. What a surprise, he hits a perfect double play ball right where the second baseman would normally be. Live by the shift, die by the shift.
  24. The Hot Corner
Lee with a great catch to help save potential disaster. Another at 'em ball by the Braves. 2 down in the inning.
  25. The Hot Corner
    Thank you Jose.
