Tonight the Mets will face a pitcher (Sean Nolin) who is 0-2 with an ERA of 9.00 and WHIP of 2.43 this season. His career numbers aren't aren't much better, 1-5, ERA 7.28 and WHIP 1.90. The Mets will start Marcus Stroman, who has has pitched very well the majority of the season, but has suffered from a total lack of offensive support. He has deserved much better. I will not be surprised if the Mets somehow make Nolin look like the second coming of Koufax tonight. Stroman will likely give another strong start, but will unfortunately give up 2 runs, which virtually assures him another loss. I hope I am wrong, but this is how I see it in my mind. Luckily, MLB has me blacked out for all Washington games, so I won't need to watch the Mets flail and fail offense. Hopefully, I will be pleasantly surprised when I will be pleasantly surprised when I check the score tomorrow morning.
