  1. Nice play by Suppan. S'okay, guys, let's hold 'em.
  2. Come on, Carlos, bust out the WHOOPING stick. Bring it.
  3. Let me the first to warn anyone even thinking about jumping the gun on a KTE that we still have three more wins to go, and if someone fucks up the mojo, then I'm holding that person personally responsible, even if Oliver Perez gives up fourteen runs tomorrow.
  4. These Tigers scare me.
  5. There's only one Alois Terry Leiter.
  6. I don't know why I fall for it every single time, but there I was, looking it up. Thanks.
  7. Why do I listen to Mike & The Dog? Because at 5:30 yesterday, after they were done interviewing Tim McCarver and went to commercial, I switched over to 1050 to see if they were interviewing anyone, and Michael Fucking Kay was talking to some moron on the phone about Alex Fucking Rodriguez, two and a half hours before a fucking NEW YORK METS playoff game. Jerkass.
  8. "Yeah, it's got a lotta meat."
  9. Can I give points to Pujols for getting doubled off? That made me laugh.
  10. Glavine 5 Beltran 3 Mota 0.5 Wagner 0.5 Wright 0.5 LoDuca 0.5
  11. I agree with everyone's points on Pujols, but it did seem like every time they hit the ball hard last night it was right at someone. I didn't feel comfortable until that pop-up landed in Valentin's glove. Speaking of Zeile... did anyone ever see that Todd Zeile "Mullet" character movie? What ever happened to that?
  12. ="HahnSolo"]The crowd was great for last night's game. I will also give props to either the city or the Mets...whoever was responsible for parking. We arrived near Shea at 7, and followed signs to alternate Shea parking, wound up out past the unisphere, parked on a makeshift lot ($18), then a shuttle bus to the LIRR station and a short walk to the stadium, and we were in our seats by 7:30. I'd still recommend arriving early, but they seem better organized this year as opposed to years past. Oh, and attending last night reminded me of a great feeling at Shea: looking at the out of town scoreboard, and having it blank. $18?!?!?! Dickheads. A friend of mine who went to a Division Series game said the same thing about the OOTS; it's kinda neat.

Tim Mac: "Tough break for the Mets, with every other pitcher on the roster going down to injury." Joe Buck: "Hmm... Williams has developed quite a high leg kick." Tim Mac: "And I thought he was white." Joe Buck: "And lefty."
  14. There's something to that "fans love velocity" thing. Didn't Philly fans get all worked up every time Wagner hit 100 on the gun when he first signed there? I even think he made some comment about it.

  17. You should encourage people to post their picture contributions in a thread here in the Pool. Aha! A Pool member recruitment tool!
  18. You should put the criteria somewhere on the site.
  19. We have a "UMDB Most Wanted" thread around here somewhere... and I know Yancy would rather have no image at all that a black hat image. He's old skool.
  20. Considering they left Marquis off the roster, I'm thinking they'd have to go short rest also.
  21. It's his job to rave like a dick. If he didn't rave like a dick, he wouldn't have any listeners. The whole point of sports talk radio is to make you yell at the radio enough to make you keep listening through the commercial breaks.
  22. Yes, I do.
  23. BOOOOOOOOOOOOO rain.
  24. The UMDB comes up sixth on a Yahoo search of "cory lidle" (no quotes).
