    The guy did hit .329/.395/.489 with the Ducks in 2008 with 8 homers over 231 AB. Not awful at all. I know it's Atlantic League pitching, but he might be able to contribute something. Maybe even as a mentor/coach for guys like Reyes who need their heads screwed on a little tighter.

    So my hard drive fried last week, and I lost my two most important files: my "Mets in order" list, which I used to maintain my version of Greg and Jason's Big Book of Mets cards, and my Mets autograph list. I know I can pick up a new Mets in order list here somewhere, right? Right?

    MFY fan friend is lamenting the loss of -- of all people -- Ronan Tynan. Because after spending a billion dollars on player salaries, you still need a fat opera singer to ice the opposing pitcher before the bottom of the seventh. But then I thought about it -- Ronan Tynan didn't appear on the scene until when? 2001, after 9/11... and they haven't won jack since. They need to bring him back NOW... it's the Curse of Ronan Tynan! Oh, and Rudy Giuliani is a fucking moron. Your hat is backwards, dipwad.
