We've been to the embassy they're not helping issues at all and our flight leaves in less than few hours from now but we're having problems settling the hotel bills and the Idiot hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills,I'm freaked out at the moment.I need you to lend me some money to sort my self out of this predicament, will pay back once I get this over with. Hope to hear from you soon. Your New York Mets /wires the Mets ten thousand dollars immediately /#truenewyorker

  4. BUT JASON BAY IS STILL THERE
  5. batmagadanleadoff wrote: I'm starting to feel optimistic about d'Arnaud, but an increasing sense of gloom about Granderson. I think he'll snap out of it, but I want him to do so before the George Foster/Jason Bay stuff becomes permanently stuck to him. Uh oh. 6. We're back! Coach Senk is going live at 11am today. I'm using the two questions I got last time (thanks again, fellas) but anyone else who's on Twitter, hit us with a baseball question either @stonybrooku or with #SBUChat or both. Eternal thanks.
  7. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: it's a big fat pile of nothing. Agreed. So why react by nuking your entire account and defiantly saying there was nothing to apologize for. As far as we know nobody asked him to apologize. He's a drama queen with no concept of knowing how to act appropriately. He's a fucking 25-year-old kid who we've spent the last four years fellating as the future of the franchise. Now, because he does one douchey thing, he's a drama queen and we overcriticize this whole thing. Fuckin' hell. metsmarathon wrote: he's a dumb kid who posted a dumb photo. if he'd tweeted "6 months since TJS. Fuck You, surgery!" would anybody even bat an eye or clutch their pearls? all the time, in interviews, and on the field, and in public, athletes utter obscenities. are they all classless attention whores? its nonsense. stupid fucking nonsense. not the picture - the offense-taking. its all stupid nonsense. yeah, i get it - he's a public representative of his employer. what-fucking-ever. he's still not the official voice of the mets. (and if he was, he might do a better job than jay horowitz.) he's a dude with a twitter account who uttered a visual obscenity. move along. what it directed at anybody? was it meant to detract from anybody or degrade anybody? did it represent deviant or dangerous or destructive or illegal behaviour? no, of course not. it's a big fat pile of nothing. This. Everyone leave him the fuck alone, let him recover, and fucking applaud and yell your fucking faces off when we see him on Opening Day 2015. Frig.
  8. Totally had to Google that because I had no idea what you were referring to.
  9. I've said it a million times -- I don't know why anyone wants to play in this city. Our fans are bunch of assholes.
  10. 2014 so far: Majors: Nathan (Detroit): Struggling early on with some "dead arm" issues. Three saves. Koehler (Miami): 2-1, 2.13 - has looked great in four starts. Minors: Tropeano (AAA Houston): 1-1, 3.32 in 19 innings. Should make his way up to Houston at some point. Jankowski (AA San Diego): .246/.313/.295 in 61 AB. Has only stolen four bases so far. Cantwell (AA Texas): .294 OPS in 32 PA. (Not a typo.) Has thrown out 9 of 14 runners trying to steal, though. Carmona (AA Philly): .220 OPS in 41 PA. (Also not a typo.) Tissenbaum (A+ Tampa): .275/.310/.330 in 40 AB. Catching now, apparently? Weird. Had no idea. http://www.minorleagueball.com/2014/3/14/5506148/rays-maxx-tissenbaum-embracing-new-chapter-with-blog Campbell (A Dodgers): 0-1, 6.78 ERA in three starts, awful peripherals. Rakkar (Chicago): hasn't started yet Johnson (Oakland): hasn't started yet
  11. The MLB Network guys kept pronouncing it with a hard J during the Montreal game.
  12. Frayed Knot wrote: And Thursday's game, as the finale of a midweek series often are, is a day game. Which means that if Lance Lynn is on your fantasy team, you're going to want to start him this week.
  13. Now. They shoulda stuffed Tejada in Ike's suitcase.
  14. Vic Sage wrote: Is there a reason NOT to? If he threatened to take a shot at Mr. Met.
  15. And as I'm getting ready to leave my office, I get word that Coach is sick and can't chat. DAMMIT. Thanks anyway. I'll let you know when we reschedule.
  16. Bonus thanks to Ceetar for the tweet. Anyone else?
  17. Hey friends. Could use some help. I'm running a Twitter Takeover chat Thursday morning with our baseball coach, and I want it to go gangbusters. Could any of you who are on Twitter please hit us at @stonybrooku with a baseball question? College, pro, College World Series, whatever. Tag #SBUChat if you could. Any time between now and the chat is okay; I'd like to have some questions already in the hopper before we start. Much thanks.
  18. I wasn't even sperm yet.
  19. Old Derek Jeter is old.
  20. "The problem is that when we're at home, the umpires always let the other team bat first, so they get to score runs first," Wilpon said. "I don't see how that's fair. It's our stadium, we should get to go first."

  22. Edgy MD wrote: Yes, April homers can be encouraging in Citi Field. I'd still like to to talk to some mathematicians and climatologists to find out what happened to dArnaud's shot yesterday. He absolutely punished that ball. I was half-watching, playing a game with my daughter on the floor in front of the TV. Gary's call made us both jump; I was stunned it didn't go out.
  23. Supposed to go tonight. I have four tickets and only one me, however. And it's really fricking cold out there. But I want my Captain Wright shirt. Enough to drive all the away in there? Maybe.
  24. Ceetar wrote: But what's wrong with the look-ins? MLB Network doesn't usually stick at a place for more than a half inning anyway, and then go back to scores around the league. MLB Network has become my go-to for news and updates. You can't watch it for too long because it gets repetitive (like the drop-ins during the Montreal games), but at least it's all baseball and nothing else.
