  1. Delgado 2.5 Pelfrey 1 Beltran 1.5 Schneider 1.5 Rodriguez 1 Parnell .5 Reyes .5 Murphy .5 Wright .5 Church .5
  2. I never had a doubt. This is 2009.
  3. Yeah baby. Big K there. Blew it by him.
  4. Ugh. Boned by the umps on that one. Delgado called for stepping off the bag to throw to 3rd, replay looks like he stayed on. Fuck.
  5. For a closer he throws a LOT of off speed pitches.
  6. This is his style... he walks the tightrope. I will judge on the results and not the method.
  7. On to the 9th. Go get em Frank.
  8. Edgy DC wrote: Lincoln-Mercury Post-Game Show: how come I hear no snarky TARP jokes about that? Because that kind of douchiness only really works in a print media. Thankfully.
  9. Let's get that run back here before we hand the ball to Frankie. Looking now at tomorrow's game time it appears that I'll be purchasing the MLB Gameday Audio tomorrow.

  11. Eh. Pedro Feliciano comes out and says, "Hey, let's think about 2008."
  12. OlerudOwned wrote: Way to be, Schneid. Mets making the most of their chances, though not without help. It's nice when they open the door for you, but also nice that the Mets are taking advantage of the opportunities. Good times.
  13. Wow the Reds play defense like the Bad News Bears, sans Kelly Leek.
  14. Boo ya! RBI hit for Delgado, Wright beats the throw home. Scary headfirst slide at the plate. I had nervous there for a minute. Walking Beltran to get to Churchie.
  15. Nice inning by Parnell to get the ground ball after walking two. Don't kid yourself, the kid can throw some heat. Clocked at 97 on the first strike to that last batter.
  16. Braves drop a quick deuce on the Phloundering Phillies on McCann's second dinger of the season. Can't say I mind.

MLB Extra Innings, offered by my cable company for about $160 or so for the year if I remember correctly. The thing I like most about it is watching a West coast game after the Mets game ends. Another 3 hours of baseball? Sure, thank you. And always 2-3 games per day in HD which is a bonus.
  18. Watching the Nats/Marlins on CBS Game Center. MLB.tv is a bit expensive -- I am looking at buying the MLB gameday audio feed for this season. It's $15 for the whole year and I'd get the Mets weekday matinees on headphones while at work. I've bought it in years' past also. Still debating the MLB EI package. Leaning towards a purchase.
  19. Can not wait.
  20. I have nervous about the rotation. Maine, Ollie, Livan, even big Pelf -- all of them are question marks to me.
  21. m.e.t.b.o.t. rules. I'd like to buy him a beer, or a can of oil or a battery or whatever.
  22. ="Frayed Knot":1dj3ixm0]="Gwreck":1dj3ixm0]My first thought was that it wasn't as if Duaner exactly distinguished himself last year, either.[/quote:1dj3ixm0] Yeah think about that; - Sanchez has 1/2 of 1 good year as a Met. He then gets injured in a late-night taxi accident (just had to get Dominican food at that hour, huh?) and spends the remainder of 2+ seasons either injured, out of shape, ineffective, or some combination of the above. - Heilman, on the other hand, turns in 3 seasons of 3.00-3.50 ERAs and sub-1.20 WHiPs before having a lousy season and HE's the one with cooties?!? I know Green is reacting more the the fans' reaction to Heilman/Sanchez but it kind of shows how the thinking is messed up all around.[/quote:1dj3ixm0] The SNY booth actually broached the subject when Green came in. The reasoning they gave was that Green had always worn a number "in the 50s" before and wanted to switch back into that range. They made no mention of Heilman or Fortyeightgate as I will now call it.
  23. ="Gwreck":2gg7vk9m]In the end, aside from the cold, the periodic rain, and occasional hail it was a pretty good day for baseball.[/quote:2gg7vk9m] I am glad that I took the afternoon off. I did doze for 20 minutes or so and missed an inning (the 6th) but it was an entertaining game, with a great ending.
  24. Thought I'd kick this off early what with the good guys having the day off today. Twelve MLB games on the slate today, none on ESPN or the MLB network however. I am getting the free preview of the MLB Extra Innings package this week so I will be watching somebody.
