A beautiful day at the ballpark... themetfairy, Fboy and I representing the CPF and soaking up some baseball. I wasn't going to mention the no-no to Fboy until he got through six, so it's not on me that they didn't get it. And the Muffy play at 1B was a real gift there. For what it's worth, the Mets are 5-0 in games attended by my son. Keep that in mind come postseason, kids...

Gotta wonder what the crew chief is thinking out there. The next game starts in 15.5 hours, boys. (And Fboy and I will be there and if you're a CPF'er I'll buy you a beer if you come find me you bastards!)

Manning the first base position is Adam "Fishsticks" LaRoche. He's a knockaround guy, having played earlier in his career for Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Boston, Atlanta again, Arizona and now the Nats. Fairly consistent over his career, a good bet for a .265 average, 25 HRs and 85 or so RBIs. Off to a bad start, though, in 2011, driving on Interstate 82 and 34 Ks in 137 ABs. Give me a while to troll for pictures of his possibly hot wife.

Fboy has once again been sentenced to being a Yankee. Poor kid. This year he's moved up from the Tee ball division to "A" ball. They're still giving each kid an at bat in every inning, and it's still not baseball rules just yet, but they're trying to get them to throw the ball to first on batted balls and such. The recent addition of corrective lenses bodes well for Fboy's performance at the dish and in the field.
