  2. I got to listen to a few outs here and there before it got real busy at the workplace. I did catch the radio call of the Duda RBI in the first as well as Wright's later on, so that was a plus.
  3. Good guys win. Suck it, Pittsburgh.
  4. Parnell .25 Rauch .5 Byrdak .25 Turner 2 Wright 1 Cedeno 1 Nieuwenhuis .5 Rottino .5
  5. The Second Spitter wrote: I hope Teixeira's cough gets better soon. That's what happens when have to smell Jeter's cinnamon-scented farts everyday, I guess. So that's where I left my Altoids.
  6. Cedeno slides into first and is out. I'd like to point out that Fboy put the ball in play twice tonight in his Little League game and ran through first base both times. He's seven years old.
  7. This is almost as bad as the time I was washing my car and Joe Pepitone tried to fuck my wet washcloth.
  8. Fuck yeah. How good has Byrdak been this year?
  9. Big whiff there for Parnell. Let's get this last out, Lefty.
  10. What a bunch of jerk offs.
  11. Nicely done. Could have used a few cock jokes thrown in, but still solid reporting. Barajas is hot over the last several games, he's got a few dingers. It wouldn't shock me to see him turn on a fat pitch and put it in the seats this week.
  12. Gee 2.5 Byrdak .5 Francisco 1 Baxter 2.5 Wright 1.5 Murphy .5 Nieuwenhuis .5 Davis .5 Cedeno .5
  13. If he has options, send him down for some polish. If he's a team player, and a realist, he'll take it the right way. It may be an apples/oranges thing to compare him to a pitcher, but once upon a time Steve Traschel took his Mets demotion in stride, came down to the sticks, worked out his kinks and came back a better player. No reason Ike can't do the same.
  14. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Well, I did watch, and I'm glad I did. I was not allowed the option of watching because Verizon FIOS are all a bunch of dickbags. Having said that, I caught the last few innings on MLB's ticker and in the car while running errands. Glad Frank was able to close the door.
  15. Johan vs. Erik Bedard. I like our chances. David Wright owns these guys.
  16. Let's get one, eh? Dillon Gee vs. Henderson Alvarez. Interleague baseball blows, might I add. Stupid DH.
  17. Dickey 1.5 Rauch 1 Parnell 1 Francisco 1 Cedeno 1.5 Wright 1.5 Turner 1 Duda 1 Johnson .5
  18. I was slammed at work and didn't tune in until the 8th inning. So I caught the best part of the game on my iPhone thanks to Josh and Howie, who are great in their nonHaginosity.
  19. How is Chapman not closing for this team? Dusty Baker is a tard. I think he's got a toothpick lodged in his brain.
  20. Some Mets numbers heading into their series with the Reds: All hit, no field Josh Thole's defensive WAR (BRef ver.) is 0.4. Thole leads all Mets in dWAR and ranked in the top 10 among all NL'ers until his current injury caused him to miss enough games to drop him to 11th place. Yabbut, who leads the Mets in gWAR?
  21. This game hurts my feelings.
  22. Batista 4.5 Byrdak .5 Parnell .5 Murphy 2.5 Wright 1 Cedeno 1
  23. Due to Fboy's little league game I missed the first 6+ innings of this one. Glad to see the happy ending. Francisco looks awfully Benitez-esque when he's pumping fastballs past hitters and can't find the plate with the breaking stuff. Just give em the heater, Ricky.
