  1. Just thinking that. Show some fight, boys. Don't make me drive all the way down there tomorrow for you to take a nine inning dump.
  2. I don't root for other MLB teams, as a rule. So I'll go with Let's Go See Strippers Who May or May Not Be Prostitutes!
  3. Well that went to shit, eh?

Niese had 82 pitches at the time. The next inning, he throws only 13 more. Then Terry, in his infinite wisdom, removes Niese from the game. So, Terry, if he was only going to throw one more inning...why not pinch hit? Those three extra outs from Niese were that important that you squandered one of the Mets' best scoring opportunities? Yep.
  5. Fucking hell, 1-2-3 in each of the last three innings. Way to fight to the end, there.
  6. G-Fafif wrote: Rob Johnson has a swollen hand. Again, probably an Fman joke in there somewhere, but I'm not sure how, exactly. So, you're saying his hand was, uh, engorged?
  7. Will be there Saturday with Fboy for his first prime time MLB game. Section 5-something. Hope to meet some CPF'ers and share a brew and a howdy with you if you're there, PM me if you're planning on attending. Looks like we're getting Johan's first start back as per his interview tonight with "Guys."

  9. Endy Chavez, sporting a woeful .190/.222/.281 line in Baltimore, DFA'd to make room for Nate McLouth on their roster.
  10. I was thinking that also, he's in the prime spot to get tagged with an interference call even if he beats that play out.
  11. Torres is utterly useless as a lefty hitter this year.
  12. Because Edinson Volquez couldn't find the strike zone with a GPS tonight. Pads get on the board with a couple of hits. Let's see Heff settle in and get this last out here.
  13. Has a Mets team ever given up so many outs on the bases as this one? It seems to happen on a daily basis.
  14. I love the late 70's block letter brown/yellow Padres uniforms. Timeless in their lack of timelessness.
  15. Methinks the Mets got a break there, I think Dickey was out. We'll take it.
  16. Wow, with the 1980's uniform, Jason Bay's George Foster impression has been perfected.
  17. Is this the uniform that the Padres wore in the 1980's? It seems more contemporary than the Mets 80's clunkers.
  18. Yay, baseball! I've been watching tape delay Olympics while in real time the athletes are having orgies in their London sex-village.
  19. Rickey Henderson mebbe?

  21. Rapidly Ascending Dickey vs. Clayton Richard, a 10:05 first pitch.
  22. Watched the first few innings while telecommuting, then listened to the middle innings while at the gym. The 3:45 start time works well with the late afternoon errand running (and XM in the car). Nice series win. On to Sandy Eggo.
