  1. Even if he opts out I think he'll end up in a Mets uni next year. He loves the city and ballpark and no one is backing up the truck for him at this age. It's basically the same thing as last off season.
  2. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Yeah this game is absolutely dragging I do like the commercial breaks though where they stay with game cameras in a small window at the same time. That's new to me.
  3. Assumed this game was tomorrow. I hate the 4 PM playoff starts. What a lot of shit. Play during prime time, for fuck's sake.
  4. No brainer. Bring him back, leadoff/3B.
  5. I'm just too tired all the damn time to watch the ends of these games and I'm a grown ass man. Who stays up so late? Kids today and their Red Bull and their oxycontin, that's who.
  6. Frayed Knot wrote: I'll put it this way, by the time he was pulled from the game there was blood on his hand, the ball, his shirt, his pants, and the rubber.
  7. It was quite nasty. Fixing a drone during the playoffs. Seriously stupid.
  8. Did it make anyone else sad to see a team's closer come in to a postseason game and shut down his opponents with nasty stuff? Or was it just me?
  9. Joe Buck is insufferable to me.
  10. I'm watching in the traditional "big TV + alcohol" method I've been perfecting since the 1980's. Pitchers duel = good baseball.
  11. Don't offer it. He's damaged goods until he proves otherwise.
  12. Jeff Gilooly, a lonely Mets nation turns its eyes to you.
  13. Zvon wrote: I really like what Ive seen from Dave Roberts. Intellegent, can express himself clearly, takes unconventional chances, bucks the trends. We always talk about bringing in the closer in the most crucial inning, even if its the 6th or 7th, when he is needed most. Andwe were talking about that years ago. Are we that far ahead of the curve? Of course we are. I made it to the Turner double. Zonked out after that.
  14. Good game going here. I hat both of these damn teams, but, since I know more obnoxious Nats fans than Dodgers fans, I'll hope that LA can win and then go get stomped in Chicago. Except, you know, maybe on the way to the airport, on the tarmac, Face Buttley gets hit by a comet.
  15. My kingdom for a Mets game.
  16. Zvon wrote: Also that wrist cock thing.
  17. metirish wrote: Missing some good games as they drag on way to long, late starts don't help ..... It'll help that LA and SF are out, all the remaining teams play in the EST and CST time zones.
  18. Surprised to see that only a few managers have been at the helm in their current gigs as long as Terry has. It doesn't seem like six seasons have gone by.
  19. This must have been at some fucktarded hour because I was long gone by the time the Cubs came back. Glad they won though. Totally rooting for a Cubs/Indians WS matchup.
  20. Both Toronto and Cleveland mowing down their opponents sweepily. I am rooting for the Tribe here.
  21. AL baseball to be sure, 10:18 PM and it's all of the middle of the 6th inning.
  22. Wow I hate the Giants, Nats, and Dodgers all so much, I'd be hard pressed to root for any of those teams.
  23. I want to say that I'm satisfied but I can't, not yet. I really wanted to see them play the Cubbies.
  24. I slept like hell.
