  1. Everything coming up Milhouse here. I'm listening on XM and waiting for Fboy to get out of work. Gary Thorne with the HR call tonight
  2. Go Phillies Goes and washes hands
  3. Happy to see Nimmo get the knock there
  4. Putting aside Tie Breakers for a moment... If the Mets go 7-4 over their last 11, they finish at 102-60. To tie them, the Braves would have to go 9-3 over their last 12 to tie. I can see both of these happening. If the Mets go 6-5 over their last 11, the Braves would need to go 8-4 to tie. Given that the Braves has 6 games remaining against the Nats and Marlins, 8-4 seems almost a given. I think this weekend's series represents the last chance for the Mets to get some separation. Go Phils! A tie, though, is loaded, because if even 1 of those wins is Mets over Braves, then the Mets win the season series. So the Mets could go 6-5 including losing 2 of 3 to ATL and the Braves would actually have to 9-3 to "beat" them, by virtue of the tiebreaker.
  5. Well that sucked. I evaded the worst of it by leaving for a bike ride and missing it go from 1-0 to 6-0

  7. McNeil gimping around in LF after jamming his knee on a pop up in the previous inning. This town is a death trap, apparently.
  8. Thinking healing thoughts to Brandon Nimmo, hopefully he's just tight
  9. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I hope Marte comes back soon. My first exact thought when scanning today's lineup card. And yesterday's and so on
  10. I dig a 2:10 Wednesday start as I work from home Wednesdays and normally take a 1-2 PM lunch break siesta. So I shall wake up and work and watch baseball. Also that way I do not have a conflict with watching AEW Dynamite pro wrestling with Fboy on Wednesday nights as it's on live from 8-10 PM.
  11. I knew it all along you guys
  12. . [bIGPURPLE]HOLY FLURCKING SCHNIT[/bIGPURPLE]
  13. Rotten at bat for Canha. In Lindor we trust
  14. This gas can Rogers is just the guy I want to see up there right now
  15. Pitching has been so consistently strong this year that any time a guy shows that he's human and susceptible to being hit around, I think, whoa, I guess that is a thing?
  16. Yeah, I mean, how to separate bad managers from bad teams, too. Like, Joe Torre helmed some shit ass Mets squads but was he a bad manager? I was 5-7 years old so I can't say.
  17. I think Jim Edmonds was on both of those STL teams, in 2000 and 2006.
  18. =Marshmallowmilkshake post_id=108012 time=1663675078 user_id=119] Listening to the Baseball Tonight podcast piling adoration in Aaron Judge, and they kept talking about the record, the record, the record, and how he was about to break it. And I'm thinking, the record is 73 and he's a long way away. Then at one point they clarified, the American League record, as Bonds, Sosa and McGwire all played in the NL. I don't know if there has ever been so much hype over a league record before. Both Olney and Kurkjian are convinced Judge is headed to San Francisco next season.
  19. In his rehab start Max threw I think 59 pitches. I doubt even with perfection that he gets more than an 80 pitch or so rope
  20. . [bIGPURPLE]HELL YEAH PISS MISSILE[/bIGPURPLE]
  21. I had this starting 30 min later and missed the first 2 1/2 innings, though also apparently I didn't miss much. Nice of Max to plow through this lineup. I'd hate to miss a playoff clinching win because it was past my bedtime
  22. I noticed it again in that YT video above. You never saw a guy more eager to untuck his shirt at the end of a game than Big Dan
  23. I listened and watched (via bogus streams cause fuck WPIX) as able today. Good win for the good guys.
  24. He needs it, too, because in the first half he sucked more ass than Paul Lynde.
