DocTee

the only way this gets worse is if the other shoe reduces the catching log jam by dealing Castro and not Estrada/Schneider

I actually have one of those. My wife purchased one online (sight unseen) a few years ago thinking it was a bobble-head doll (she had broken mine in a move)...The cool thing about it is that the jersey (mine is orange) is removable, so it is now worn by my daughter's' teddy bear.

The one big-leaguer in my lifetime who shared my surname was a Met, and a Broklyn-born one at that.

Well said, Johnny. 13 wins are a lot harder to come by than 30 saves.

On the road for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

Noobody got Torii Hunter. (DocTee apparently just freaked out skipped him.) I had him going to TEX...you'll see I have two spots for his list predecessor, Livan Hernandez. Him, I got heading to Seattle. Why? i dunno

Not now, not ever.

Joe Kennedy-- not returning for 08. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3124303

1. Handle 2. Throw 3. Block If he calls a good game, the likelihood of a baserunners whom he need to throw out, or of plays at the plate will be curtailed. Theoretically.

] Funny thing though - he was selected to the Jewish All-American team in college despite the fact that he's not Jewish Didn't something similar happen to Marlins 1B-man Mike Jacobs (Gentile) at a promotional event (Jewish Heritage Day or somesuch)?

isn ]'t Eckstein Catholic? Have you been spying on the locker room again?

With Green and Newhan gone, Omar needed to appease the Jewish fans by bringing in a token.

First round draft picks

Weeks was farmed out last year if I remember, and may just need a change of scenery. Maybe he just needs to be around a winner like WWSB. If Castillo cannot be resigned, he'd be as good a target as any other, I would imagine, and is preferable to Josh Barfield, IMHO.

Richie Weeks.

First he shows up the WS by opting out, now he one ups NL Cy Young winner Jake Peavy. Sheesh.

shuuto: a two-seam fastball that cuts into righthanded hitters

Cool, another Californian. Me, Seo and Spaceman's Bong are taking over.

I think the Mets will miss Glavine's innings, and Hernandez would certainly pick up the slack there. I also like the fact that Eric Bedard has multiple accents on his name. And the fact that DWright did not dismiss out-of-hand the possibility of he and Jose Reyes not being teammates for the foreseeable future. I love the Hot Stove League.

Cubs send Jacque Jones to Detroit for Omar Infante

Some powerful names there: O'Malley Kauffman Kuehn Miller Herzog all deserve long consideration I think

ESPN reporting that the Fish are shopping Miguel Cabrera, but not Dontrelle Willis.

Well those two are pretty young and pretty able, if you ask me.
