  1. [bLOCKQUOTE]Kepler is the most accomplished player ever from Germany[/bLOCKQUOTE] Ron Gardenhire would like a word...
  2. Count me in---his bat would more than make up for Martinez /Marte and his defense is stellar compared to Vientos. I prefer three years of him to six for Bregman. But I'm more concerned with the starting pitching TBH
  3. He's a Boras agent--maybe this smooths the path to Soto?
  4. 1) Edwin Diaz 2) José Buttó 3) Dedniel Nunez 4) Reed Garrett 5) Phil Maton 6) Ryne Stanek 7) Drew Smith 8) Adam Ottavino 9) Danny Young 10) Adrian Houser
  5. 1. Manaea 2. Peterson 3.Severino 4. Quintana 5. Megill 6. Scott 7. Butto 8. Senga 9. Lucchesi 10. Blackburn
  6. 1) Francisco Lindor 2) Mark Vientos 3) Pete Alonso 4) José Iglesias 5) Jeff McNeil 6) Luisangel Acuña 7) Brett Baty 8) Joey Wendle 9) Zack Short 10) DJ Stewart
  7. 1. Alvarez 2. Torrens 3. Nido 4. Narvaez 5. Hudson
  8. I forgot about DJ Stewart, and am glad I did.
  9. I would like to move on from McNeil. There is organizational depth at the keystone. I'd prefer Iglesias who I think is a better mentor---and I think Vientos, among others, would benefit from that. I would think Manaea follows his recent trend and opts out for a contract elsewhere, but I'd like him to stay for another two years (but not three). I could move on from Severino and Quintana (particularly the latter). I liked Bader but thought he was a reach at $10M/per. Winker is likewise expendable. The bullpen should jettison Smith, Ottavino and Maton. Martinez leaving is a foregone conclusion. I don't think Alonso returns and I have mixed feelings about that: I'd like him to stay. he has come so far as a defender since Day 1 and busts his ass on every play---that will catch up to him as he ages, so don't want a long fat contract.
  10. Back row blonde beneath the flame is Mrs. Alonso?
  11. The Mets might've had two of the biggest HRs in franchise history….in the span of four days.
  12. It's a good and deep field. I lived in the Bay Area for 15 years and Kuiper and Krukow are fantastic--like GKR level good. Is there a limit on how many can get the award in a given year (I have no idea if it's one only), that may work to Gary's favor. I cant see one getting it and not the other, and they kinda sorta cancel each other out in a "split ticket" type of scenario. Dave Sims is phenomenal and I suspect he will get in this year or soon thereafter, same with Gary.
  13. 4. Roberto Alomar
  14. 2. Todd Hundley
  15. The 1000-game threshold is not a fair assessment, given that pitchers like Frank Tanana, who had a very long and successful career, are not likely to be represented here. 1000-games for batters, sure. But how many of the other picks in that draft had careers like Tanana and would that change your assessment?
  16. Wilmer Flores? Bruce Boisclair?
  17. [bLOCKQUOTE]Game threads are basically garbage anyway[/bLOCKQUOTE] I lived in California from 1998-2014 and absolutely relied on the IGT to keep me apprised of what was happening (I was unable, or too cheap, to access the games from there). Following the games here when I can watch on TV is not as beneficial but I like to read a quick recap when I miss the games for one reason or another.
  18. 3. Richie Zisk
  19. ChiSox--Frank Thomas
  20. 5. Jeff Kent
  21. Mariners--Griffey, Jr
  22. Braves: Chipper Jones
  23. Mariners--Edgar Martinez?
  24. Colorado--Todd Helton
