    Doesn't Tampa have a glut in the OF? I know there was talk about dealing Carl Crawford (for Cliff Lee) because that would open a roster sport for a minor-league OF phenom they have ready.

    There were several warnings and ejections in this game (Hit batsmen, and the like) and wonder if this will add fuel to the fire. The Giants broadcasters were wondering why Donnie Baseball--he of no managerial experience--was running the team after Torre's departure, especially when Larry Bowa was available (implication being Bowa would not make that mistake).

    Going on a month without a series win. Booby V always talked about winning series, not games, and the Mets just aren't getting that done now. Frustrating, indeed.

    There's a Biersch brewpub a stones throw from the stadium, great for pre- and post-game libations. AT&T is so beautiful--mind you, I've not been to CitiField yet, but I can't imagine it better than this-- that I recommend it as a must-see... even for those who don't follow baseball. It really is spectacular. And it revitalized that part of the city like no one would have expected. 10 years now and the change is dramatic.
