1. Can I say Trevor Bauer? Yes? Then its Trevor Bauer
2. is apparently CitiField... Mets acquire OF Mark Payton from Cincinnati for cash considerations. yawn.
3. Impressive video-- I'm surprised they were able to keep this under wraps, with no leaks. Nicely done.
4. A cream David Wright jersey from 15 or so years ago that I wear maybe once a year. Two hats that feature Mr. Met, one of which I've had for 30 years and which has gone all over the world with me.
5. Kuman Rocker? I hardly know her, but ok.
6. Lupica is right, they play ball too late, even on a weekend. Like someone said elsewhere: more day games, especially in the playoffs, please.
7. <ATTACHMENT>
8. I always thought a passed ball WAS an error-- not that it would have mattered here, as the official scorer charged a Wild Pitch.
9. Who is that doing play-by-play? I feel like somebody wants to drunk-fight me. That's Glenn Kuiper, brother of Giants announcer Duane, and longtime Oakland staple Ray Fosse on the call.
10. Gerald Williams is running a professional basketball team in Florida. “I'm that guy who makes sure they understand there is no tomorrow,” said Gerald Williams, who retired from Major League Baseball in 2005. “They can't afford to say, ‘Oh, don't worry, we'll get 'em tomorrow.' Tomorrow? What are you talking about? You're going to get cut today!” Damn, that Popsicle is ice-cold.
11. Steven Matz, southpaw savior.
12. Cooper and Keith are pretty damn close. Each played parts of 17 years, most of which overlapped. In about 200 fewer games, Cooper has more HR (241-162), RBI (1125-1071) and a higher BA (.298 -.296). They have they same number of top 5 MVP finishes (KH has the one win, of course) and Cooper has three times as many All Star appearances (15-5). Cooper has fewer Gold Gloves, naturally (11-2) but was no defensive slouch. He stole more bases, but had fewer runs scored. Keith bests him in OPS (.821 to .803), and if you factor in integrity, sportsmanship and character, well....Cooper never testified at the Pittsburgh drug trial. If Keith deserves the HoF, and he does, than Cooper does too. Dale Murphy, as well.
13. For all the love Keith gets, he's not even the best first-baseman of his era to be overlooked by the HOF: check out Cecil Cooper.

15. Mark Bradley Clontz
16. Jeff Barry Lyons
17. Rigo Beltran Hodges
18. Nolan Ryan McGuire
19. Lenny Randle Myers
20. Jay Bruce Berenyi Neil Allen Watson
21. Looks like whomever is seated in front of Reggie has a Rangers jersey and a Cubs cap?
22. The killers for me were three extra-inning losses at San Francisco just after the ASG. Winning two of those would have helped.
23. beautifully remastered archival footage. excellent use of the actual soldiers to tell the story. that said, here's two hours summed up in five-ish sentences: "I was excited when the war began and I'm glad I went-- could never live with myself if I hadn't. But once we left England, things changed. Long spells of tedium, punctuated by ferocious battles. And the enemy was just like us. The war wasn't worth it-- it rarely is."
24. I think Mickey likes Rosario at the top of the lineup, and his run from August through the end of the season, where he mostly batted there, suggests he can handle that slot.
25. Apparently headed to DC.
