  1. Left knee injury for Tauchman. If it's any kind of severity at all, that pretty much clinches the Carson Benge Experience.
  2. Hmmm. The Mets only have one day off between March 28th and April 15th. You'd think this would be a time to deploy the 6-man rotation.
  3. I hear if you keep waxing gibbous, you'll go blind. Interesting article- there's a new shuttle service to Citi from the outer reaches (NJ and LI) that's just 8 bucks. (1) The Mets' game-day experience will be improved this year
  4. Agarn! Wow, I had no idea Joe Torre was 85.
  5. 4-3 Cards final. Benge 1-2 and a walk . Everyone else sucked. Scored 3 runs late after they put the JV in.
  6. Vientos 1 for 30 this spring. Ouch.
  7. 4-0 Cards. Bryan Hudson, competing for the last bullpen spot, did himself no favors, giving up a homer and 3 runs.
  8. Tobias Myers gives up a homer but picks off a runner at first. 1-0 Cards after 1.
  9. Bichette playing short as a refresher in case Lindor's not quite ready for Opening Day. Today's Lineups CARDINALS METS JJ Wetherholt, DH Carson Benge, RF Ramon Urias, 2B Tyrone Taylor, CF Ivan Herrera, C Bo Bichette, SS Jordan Walker, RF Mark Vientos, DH Thomas Saggese, CF Mike Tauchman, LF Yohel Pozo, 1B Vidal Brujan, 2B Jose Fermin, 3B Jared Young, 1B Nathan Church, LF Hayden Senger, C Brody Moore, SS Antonio Jimenez, 3B
  10. Man, that never, ever gets old.
  11. Yeah, he needs to play every day. He wouldn't see a lot of action, and after his lost season in 2025, he needs to get regular work to hone his skills. I still think he can be a valuable piece down the road.
  12. The only time I listen to the radio these days is when a game is on another network (which is probably about 15 or so games a year). Always comforting to hear Howie's voice. He'd been telegraphing this for a while, with his health issues and reduced schedule, so it's not a surprise. But it's still a little depressing that another voice from my younger days is signing off. I worry about GKR, as Keith is 73 and Gary and Ron are in their late 60's now.. The people they've tried to groom over the years as fillin color guys, like Daniel Murphy and Todd Zeile, just don't measure up. And nobody can replace the best play-by-play man in the business.
  13. I never reply to surveys as I figure they're just data mining operations.
  14. Here's hoping. The White Sox fans seemed glad to be rid of him. Maybe he'll be that 'change of scenery' candidate, since the last few years with the Sox had to be a real slog.
  15. Manaea is the most concerning. His fastball was clocking in the upper 80's. That doesn't play at this level and may be an indication of something deeper and more problematic.
  16. It was in the film review forum, but it's working now.....
  17. Yeah, tips & tricks can come later. Need some basic functionality first. I also noticed things couldn't be commented on because there was no option to. And get these damned Twinkies off my lawn. :)
  18. Wow guys, good job. Of course there'll be some hiccups, but it's a good start. Oh, and those little raspberry danishes if you've got them....
  19. Cool Beans. Tom Kelly: Dorkiest manager ever? And I earned a Dollar Dog Night badge. The Mets never do Dollar Dog nights. Cheap-ass Wilpons.
  20. (Checks message) I did! And my ice cream came with me.... We're not in Kansas any more, but we may be in Minnesota, by the looks of things.
  21. I made it, I think!
  22. I expect him to be stuck on that first rung. 12/45/.225 with plenty of IL time thrown in.
