  1. Gah! They give him a second chance!
  2. Awesome. A Steve Gelbs interview where you can't hear the interviewee. My day is complete.
  3. DirectTV has 99% reliability, and these are my breasts.
  4. Mets make error = other team scores runs. Other team makes error = Mets find ways not to score runs.
  5. I'd rather watch the Yankees pre-game show than Steve Gelbs do an interview.
  6. Well, looks like they've scored their run for the day and are ready to go back to sleep.

  8. I met you in Yaphank, Long Island You thought you had known me before I gave you Doug Flynn and Dan Norman They waited all night by your door You probably wouldn't remember I probably couldn't forget Forty-One gave no hits in a Redlegs game Couldnt do that with the Mets Forty-One! That Red uniform! It's making me crazy! (Crazy!) Forty-One! That Red uniform! It's making me crazy! (Crazy!)
  9. Unfortunately Lagares' problem is now with the elbow which has sharply curtailed his ability to throw.
  10. Lagares is more likely to end up on the DL than he is to be traded. Elbows and armpits are tricky things.
  11. Oh well, I have the feeling they'll try again. I'm glad it didn't happen right then because the wrath of the entire board would have come down on me.
  12. Lol at the ESPN headline..... Jake makes Brewers hitters look like ... Mets
  13. If they do the 6-man rotation again I'm going to have an aneurysm.
  14. If only we could get a horse into Fred Wilpon's office......
  15. Sandy went too deep on pitching and too short on offense. So now we're in a situation where a prized prospect is spinning his wheels in Vegas because there's no spot for him at the major league level, and yet we're sticking the Eric Campbells and Johnny Monells of the world into the lineup so we can score a run or two per game. Sandy knew last winter that he had two pitchers that would be up sooner rather than later in Syndegaard and Matz. He had another potential arm in Montero. The obstacles to them were two out of the three of Colon, Gee, and Niese. But he did nothing. And since, their value has plummeted. He couldn't even give Gee away. He jumped on Cuddyer because, well, who knows? Once he got that QO we were all breathing a sigh of relief that we'd dodged that over-the-hill bullet. But no! Do I know who should be our left and right fielders? Well, something better than what we got. That's why GM's get hired and fired.
  16. They should worry because whatever's happening doesn't particularly seem to care if they're Jewish or not.
  17. Went to see this even though our son is well out of the demographic. Typical Pixar manipulating with YOUR emotions at times. The star here is Sadness, Phyllis from The Office. Lewis Black as Anger is a given. It was cute, with some funny moments only adults will get. And if they're under 6 it'll all go over their head, but the colors are pretty. Not the Best Pixar Ever, as some have been saying. 3 emotions.
  18. I guess Coach Cuddy is grounded by Terry after last night's fiasco.
  19. And 2 of their hits will be by Bartolo Colon.
  20. Biggio going from C to 2B was pretty much unprecedented. And Travis.....um, no that's not going to work.
  21. This team is punchless, and it's not going to get better. There's no one to call up from the minors- they've all been here already and they've sucked, even though they were hitting .370 or whatever in Vegas. And being punchless, it means that there's no margin for the sloppy defensive play that seems to be a nightly event. So we're staring at the abyss, another hundred games or so of 3-2 and 2-1 losses. And unless something happens, 2016 is going to look a lot like 2015. Firing Collins won't change this, even though he annoys me. These guys are professionals, even though some (most?) are playing out of position. But they haven't been playing professionally for a while except for brief spurts of competence. We at least weren't fooled by The Streak, but I'm betting Sandy was hoping he could leverage that enough to get through the season. But they're back to .500 now and falling fast. And the ripcord on the parachute seems to be stuck.
  22. I'd be holding my breath every time he dived for a ball between now and 2020. And no more stolen base attempts, please.
