  1. Pointless distraction. I'm not angry, just that they've got better things to do. When he throws the ball in from the outfield does it drop short of the second baseman?
  2. Edgy MD wrote: Running R.J. Reynolds right back out there, Terry is. Foiling his haters, you might say.
  3. Hmm. It's basically down to 3 teams for two spots now. And you have to like their chances. (knocks wood furiously)
  4. I was indifferent. I'm happy to say I'm now less indifferent.
  5. Loney should have had that ball.
  6. Edgy MD wrote: Jay Bruce owes his old buddies a thank-you call for beating up on the Cardinals. Let's hope they get it out of their system by Monday.
  7. Right now every win feels like two wins. Ahh, to be in the hunt in September.
  8. Golden sombreros are nice when the other team has them.
  9. Okay, fasten your seatbelts, kids.
  10. Smoker more than a little pumped. 6 more outs to get.
  11. Yeah, liking what I'm seeing from Gsellman. Don't know where he'll fit into the future, though. Loney deciding not to go back to San Diego after all.
  12. Can we give Loney back to San Diego?
  13. Ha, Grandy with a hit with runners in scoring position! 2-1 Metropolitans. In other news, Hades freezes over.
  14. After 2 it's 1-0 Nats, and it's looking like one of those non-existent offense nights.

  16. This ump is squeezing deGrom, but he's not hitting his spots. Too many wasted pitches.
  17. Beastie Boys, Washington Square Park, 1986.
  18. Did they have to drop anyone from the 40-man to fit him in?
  19. I'm more comfortable with Wilmer at 2nd. Jose still has a gun for an arm, which I like at 3rd. Or put Wilmer at 1st and play Johnson at 2nd. But I'd leave Jose at 3rd for now, unless Cabrera's knee collapses (which could easily happen).
  20. Hope those extra few days of rest have deGrom pitching like deGrom again.
  21. Supposedly a repeat of a problem he had in 2012. That doesn't bode well for the long term.
  22. On the spine? Man, that had to hurt. I told my son to never do anything to yourself that you can't undo. Fifty years from now the kids will be laughing at Grandma's stupidity.
  23. Let's hope their walk-on doesn't perform as well as our walk-ons.
