  1. Maybe I'm just losing track of time
  2. I thought today was also rained out. So what was all the angst yesterday for?
  3. Not to mention, you know, a whole bunch of people who live there
  4. You forgot to divide that by the square root of 1645.15 and subtract the number of rolls of paper towels in all the even numbered office areas Seriously guys relax and enjoy
  5. Hopefully those removed relievers have found good jobs in another field, and I don't mean another baseball field
  6. I have Orioles in a World Series poll
  7. =Centerfield post_id=171766 time=1727289073 user_id=65] I know that MLB fields drain well, and there is a tarp on the infield, but doesn't there come a point where the rain is so intense that the field is just not safe to play on? Outfielders need to start and stop too.
  8. =Methead post_id=171672 time=1727226459 user_id=61] there's a crack in the foundation at least
  9. =kcmets post_id=171664 time=1727225728 user_id=53] Fuck QUIKRETE, and all who use it.
  10. I thought the Mets were keeping Alonso
  11. Saw the first Beetlejuice again last week. Except Geena Davis and Winona Rider and the little model village it was meh
  12. Happy birthday Bob. You and Ralph were my other two ‘dads'
  13. Retired folks smile all the livelong day

That's if we have enough people to start these things much less participate in them. Game threads are basically garbage anyway As a person who can't watch the games I would appreciate it if pet nicknames were explained (who is Zimmo?) and also a little more detail when something happens, besides ‘Blerp' or ‘Wowee' or the like. Reading through them can sometimes be less than helpful though honestly they also read like a bunch of people watching a game together and making comments, sure. Just my two cents since we're all grouchy anyway Zimmo refers to a remark from Fred Wilpon. It was post-Madoff and he had retreated from the press but couldn't resist lying about how well the Wilpons were doing financially, saying they were getting rich because the real estate market was "Zimmo!" I didn't mean to impugn all game threads. For epic games with many participating they can be fun in the moment (you never know when they are though). But the nature of it, texting and watching at the same time, doesn't leave much to discussion and instead a lot of two-word remarks. Thanks for the help
  15. Now THIS is a good IGT

  17. =Centerfield post_id=170646 time=1726602743 user_id=65] I didn't realize until just how that the IGT argument was real and not tongue in cheek. To be honest, I'm still not completely sure. I think a much bigger deal is that we leased an office in Stockholm without forum quorum.
  18. I'll venture Hank Aaron for Braves Btw I forgot all about Todd Helton somehow. He was pretty awesome
  19. And if it was a good memory they'd have no need to be vague. ‘I met Tim Tueffel at a Fridays and I was so drunk he hired me a cab' would be something the world should know
  20. Seems to me if someone had a beef against someone there are better ways to confront him than an innocent baseball site.
  21. This is very sad news. Ed will be forever young in my mind. Just a big lug playing first base. Gosh I miss those early 70s teams
  22. Well done!
  23. The Staten Island/Florida game was a treat!
  24. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=166946 time=1724102951 user_id=68] =whippoorwill post_id=166804 time=1724003074 user_id=79] Tonight's MLB players are arriving. Tigers were mobbed; Yankees damn near starting a riot Lolol
