    Cool to see Eric Langill going into a crouch to warm up a reliever in the bullpen, and then look up and catch Lindor's homer, while scarcely moving.

    Well, in fairness, Soto has caught a few rips too. Springer's challenge has to be one of the worst cases I've seen appealed yet.

    I'm not sure Semien stayed active until Lindor and Mauricio came back, so much as Semien stayed active until two highly embarrassing errors showed he wasn't able to be an asset.

    I think in a more traditional arrangement, Soto would be third. The best lineup* right now is: Ewing Lindor Soto Bichette Benge Alvarez Young Whoever is DHing Whoever is 2bing * Best ... in the world!

    Chavez has certainly talked shit about the Mets from the moment he left. I'm not sure why he thinks that tale doesn't reflect on Soto or himself.

    There are probably at six players in the bullpen alone who can help a big-league team win, so I don't think releasing all but six or seven players from the roster is going to lead to progress. It'll just be kicking the can further down the road. It would make for a different show to watch, though.

    I think we all might have different opinions on that. I think many of these guys we're very intentionally meant to be short-timers, but I personally would prefer to review the approach rather than shed 74% of the players.

    The guy can't throw a strike, Mauricio has been chasing since he returned, the pitcher falls behind 1-and-0, and Keith and Ronny both give him the swing sign? Ugh.

    If they don't use Lindor with the bags loaded here, he's nailed to the bench.

    Now that Torrens is on second, you ought to pinch-run for him and lose the DH. But no way in 2026 will they use a pitcher and they don't want to use Lindor.

    Weird game in that Senga gets far more of a leash as a reliever than as a starter. It's like an inverted game in that they use the short reliever then the middle-to-long reliever, then the starter.
