    I tried to log in to MLB.tv at 3-0. I sent 20 minutes sending login codes to old e-mail addresses and my cell phone, and they scored five runs before I finally got in. Yay?

    Kranepool was a Met and Jenkins was a Cub. Kranepool was a lefty and Jenkins a righty. The wind tended to blow out at Wrigley. I'm guessing Krane must've parked one or two against Fergie.

    Dissatisfied with having the fifth-best bullpen ERA in Major League Baseball, the Mets have signed veteran righthander Luke Jackson to a minor league dealio. Luke, probably unrelated to the Luke Jackson known for his cool hands (though I have not checked how many hard-boiled eggs he can eat, or assessed his communications skills) pitched for three different teams in 2025, as part of a 10-year career of MLB relievin'. Since missing 2022 following UCL surgery, his career has been through enough transactions that, when he passes, the news will not report that he has died, only that he has been designated for assignment. Still, he is most famous for winning a World Series with the 2021 Braves, and celebrating by cuddling his month-old son on the field.

    I don't know if it's a-typical of McLean on his game, or not but there seem to have been a healthy number of Giant popouts. I mean, they are normal-sized popouts, but hit by Giant batters. I mean, normal-sized batters, who play for The Giants.
